ONE ...

Yes just one day to go until the New Stampin’ Up! Catalogue – I hope you are as excited as I am about it.

Check back here tomorrow to see an electronic copy of the catalogue and if you want to paper copy of your own drop me an email
bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and we can make the arrangements. I charge the reduced price of £4.50 and include a voucher for the value of the catalogue with your first order over £50.

So here is your last sneaky peak from the catalogue ...
I have again used the lovely Garden Dreams Hostess Set – to get this stamp set you will need to host a party with qualifying sales – something I would be happy to help you with! I adore this set.

Here I have coloured one of the beautiful flowers with inks from my Stampin’ Up! Ink Pads and a dry paint brush – I love how the colours blend so softly when you use this technique. Thank you Katy for asking if it would work with the SU Ink Pads! Here I have used Pretty In Pink and Almost Amethyst card and ink teamed with Sage Shadow. I will certainly be colouring this way again but may invest in a better paint brush!

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you tomorrow with the new catalogue!

TWO

The new catalogue launch is so close now ... just two days to go! Dont forget to check in here tomorrow for another sneak peak and then on Thursday for launch day itself. Many members of my customer club will be joining me in the evening to see the new catalogue and to celebrate with some card making but I don’t want those of you who read my blog but will not be there to miss out so check back to see the catalogue and maybe even win a prize ...

Now those of you who has spent time with me will know I love my coffee so will not be at all surprised to know I love the stamp I am going to show you a sneak peak of next! It is one of six totally scrummy stamps in the level 3 hostess set Queue Up.
Here I have stamped the image three times in Basic Grey and coloured them with Regal Rose and tempting Turquoise Watercolour Wonder crayons and a blender pen. The sentiment is from Pocket Silhouettes and is stamped in Regal Rose

So who wants a coffee?

Thanks for stopping by

THREE

Hmmm – it seems my scheduled post from yesterday has vanished into hyperspace rather than make an appearance here – now it does feature a card with wings but that is taking it a bit far – so let’s try again!

At number 3 on our Countdown to the New Catalogue we have a card made with another hostess set – the adorable Whimsical Wings.
How cute is this bird? The base image was coloured with Stampin’ Up! Markers in Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Summer Sun. The bird was then re stamped in Chocolate Chip and embossed with clear embossing powder and cut out and layered on top of the original image. A wing stamped in Summer Sun was added on top of that. The background was stamped using two other stamps from this set. I have not really used Summer Sun much before but love how its adds some zing to this card. You are going to be seeing a lot more Summer Sun over the next few days and weeks! Now how to get the weather to play along ...

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back with Number 2 on our countdown later today

FOUR ...

I hope you are all having a great Sunday. Since its Sunday it is time for another Stamp With Us Challenge and this week it is also 4 days to go on our Countdown to the New Catalogue so I have another sneaky peak for you.

This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge and I had so much fun with this one. Here is the sketch.
I decided to use one of the new Simply Scrappin’ Kits – Christmas Jingle – OMG it is delicious! I was not in the mood to make something Christmassy though and decided to Scrap one of the photos I took this summer when we visited friends in Essex. These Thames Barges were lovely to see and we spent a lovely afternoon exploring the park there.

So here is the page I made.

As well as the Simply Scrappin Kit I have stamped the title in Chocolate Chip with the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet and added a little bit of Chocolate Chip Double Stitched Ribbon. I have to admit I love the Real Red polka dot paper – it is sooo delicious with Very Vanilla and that is a colour combination I know I will be using again – scrummy.

Thank you for stopping by – don’t forget to check out the rest of the design team’s cards – there are some real beauties this week, and why not have a go yourself. I really enjoy checking out everyone else’s responses to the challenges

Stamp with Us Sunday

Goodness what a week it has been – can you believe it is Sunday again already! We have been busy with birthdays, a play which opened on Friday meaning we were out every night and I have been at a lovely Craft Fair today, MaKe in Milton Keynes. If you are reading this having met me there today a huge Hello and Welcome!

Still it is Sunday and that means one thing - time for this week’s Stamp With Us Challenge and this week it is a recipe challenge. The challenge is to make a card using no patterned paper, two stamps and two ribbons.

I decided to make a card for one of the Birthday Boys I know from this week. Adam has just turned 19 and is very fond of beer so there was really only one stamp set I could use ... you guessed Cheers to You.

The background was created using a mixture of the two stamps, both of which are from the Cheers to You set. I used both on the bottom two thirds of the card and just the sentiment on the top, the inks are So Saffron and Really Rust. The main image was framed with a chipboard circle which was then inked with More Mustard and embossed with clear embossing powder. It was then backed with some Really Rust card. The focal image was stamped and coloured using watercolour wonder crayons to give a nice dimensioned look. The punched shape was then covered with Versamark ink and embossed with three layers of clear embossing powder to give a lovely tiled finish. Once it was totally cold the card was flexed in different directions to give a cracked glass finish to the image. The cracks were then emphasised by rubbing in some Creamy Caramel Ink. To help the image pop within the frame it was attached with dimensional pads. The ribbons are Chocolate Chip Double Stitched and the frame is attached using More Mustard Ribbon.
Luckily Adam loved the card!
Thank you for stopping by - don’t forget to check out the rest of the design teams cards – they are wonderful. It would also be great if you made a card in response to the challenge and left us a link. I love seeing how differently everyone interprets the challenges.

Tiny Feet

Today I am going to share with you a scrapbook page I made a few weeks ago. It features my partners granddaughter’s feet. The photo was take when she was just two days old and I was surprised at how small and wrinkled her feet were.

The card is Taken With Teal and Green Galore. The papers are from the Rainbow Sherbet Pack. I am really going to miss these papers – if you want some you have until the end of the month so email me and place your order. The butterflies are from the Level 3 Hostess Set Happiness Always. I love this stamp set and again you only have until the end of the month to have a workshop and place a qualifying order and get it –
bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Here is a close up of the lovely butterflies Just a quick reminder that the Stamp It Your Way class is this Saturday, I do still have a couple of places available if you would like to come, and that I will be at the MaKe Show in Milton Keynes on Sunday. Let me know if you want more details about these.

True Friend

Just a quick post today to show you a quick card which I know has now reached its destination with a new friend of mine.

It uses a stamp set which I love but seem to have neglected recently – True Friends. Here it is combined with stamps from the Beautiful Thing set. The colours used are Tempting Turquoise and Night of Navy. The images have been stamped onto Natural Ivory Card which gives them the lovely soft yet vibrant look.

I hope you are having a good week. Things here are very hectic – I am involved with a play which opens on Friday so am out every evening this week and am finishing off some areas of the set etc in any spare time during the day, so very little stamping is getting done. If you are local there are still some tickets available so get in touch – its Alan Ayckbourn’s Communicating Doors, it opens on Friday 18th and runs until Saturday 26th.

I will be back soon however to show you some of the cards we made at the Get Ready For Christmas Class this weekend.

Stamp With Us on Sunday!

Morning Everyone!

Its Sunday so it must be time for another Stamp With Us Challenge. This week’s Challenge was to create something based on this lovely picture. How scrummy does this quilt look – lovely and bright yet soft and snugly at the same time!
I decided to take the shapes, patterns and colours of the quilt as the basis for my patchwork card. The colours I have used are Rose Red, Green Galore, Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise.

The Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore patches are from the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Paper Pack (If like me you are going to miss this one so get yours while you still can). The Pumpkin Pie Patch is from the Pumpkin Pie Paper Pack while the Rose Red Patch was made using Rub Ons from the Hidden Garden Pack. I was pleased with how this patch turned out and think I should use these rub ons more! The patches are mounted on Natural Ivory Card to keep the soft look of the original quilt and a big flower made by inking one of the big white flowers from the pretties kit and adding a couple of pieces from the Felt Fusion Set and a scrummy Turquoise Rhinestone Brad finish off the card.

I know there is no actual stamping on here so hope you will forgive me! Please check out the other DT cards - they are lovely and I hope you play along with this challenge - dont forget to post a link over on the site - Its fab to see what you have all created

I have to dash - I am directing the village panto this year (Oh yes I am) and its auditions today

Have a great Sunday

Soft Summer

As we have been enjoying a couple of days of Sunshine I found myself wanting to reach for this Stamp Set so today I am going to share some of the cards I made with the Scrummy Soft Summer Stamp Set. I adore this stamp set and love how easy it is to colour in or to stamp solidly. It is however one of the stamp sets in the current Mini Catalogue so will not be available after the end of the month – so if you want to love it as much as I have place your order soon! September is going soooo quickly and this stamp is very deserving of some love so make sure you don’t miss out.

I hope you enjoyed revisiting these cards

Hello Cupcake!

Eeek – someone seems to have stolen hours from my days! Actually I do know who or rather what it is ... I am sorry I have been missing in action for a little while. As well as crafting I love theatre and recently took over running the box office for my theatre group. The previous committee decided to install some new software to help us with it – well let’s just say it’s not been very helpful yet and it has stolen all my crafting time!

There are lots of exciting things to tell you about though. I have finalised my new Autumn and Winter Class Schedule – you can see it here. If you are in the Dunstable area and would like to join us please let me know
bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk
October 3rd is World Card Making Day and to celebrate I will be holding a party at Chews House in Dunstable. Everyone is welcome, drop in anytime between 10.30 and 4.30 for a cup of tea or coffee, a chat, to make a card, maybe win a prize and how could I forget – look at the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue! If you RSVP before 20 September there will be a free goodie bag waiting for you when you arrive.

Don’t forget that you only have a little while to order your items on the Last Chance List – you can see the full list here. These items are selling fast and I would not want you to miss out, and with some items reduced by as much as 50% they are great value. Flaky Friends, Be Happy, All Wrapped Up, Happy Hearts and Mixed Bouquet have all sold out already. Contact me today to place your order. The current Mini Catalogue also runs out at the end of this month so don’t forget to check there for any sets you don’t want to miss out on.

I do have a card I made for a make friends birthday a little while ago, to share with you.

The stamp sets are Crazy for Cupcakes and Starring You, the colours are Sage Shadow and Not Quite Navy. The background was made with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and the greeting attached with linen thread – I love how this thread can look masculine as here or pretty when teamed with girlie colours!

Hopefully I may get some crafting done today or tomorrow – I hope so I am missing inking that rubber!

Stamp With Us

It’s Sunday so it’s time for another Stamp With Us Challenge. This week it’s a theme challenge to make a good luck card.

I wanted to make a card that I could give to someone moving house or to someone who is going away to college or university. I can still remember how excited I was to do that. So here is my card.
The stamp sets used are Loads of Love and the Loads of Love Accessories. These were some of the first Stampin’ Up! Stamp sets I owned and they have been neglected for far too long! Here I have teamed them with papers from the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Paper Pack. I love the colours and patterns in this pack and am sad that they are on the Last Chance List – so if you want some hurry and place your order (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) before they are gone forever.

The truck was stamped onto Tempting Turquoise card with Taken with Teal Ink. The chair and other items on the back of the truck were stamped onto assorted papers from the pack and then very carefully pieced together. I have used Jumbo Eyelets for the wheels. The greeting is from the Sincere Salutations set.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a lucky Sunday. My OH has been nominated for an award for a play he was in recently – he finds out today if he has won – I am very proud of him and am wishing him lots of luck for that. Who do you want to be lucky today?

Don’t forget to stop by the Stamp With Us blog and see what the other design team members have created – there are some scrummy cards there and I am not the only one who has used this stamp set!!!! We love seeing what you have created so please do join in the challenge as well.

Good Luck and Happy Crafting

Friday Flowers

Can you believe its Friday already! These short weeks always confuse me – still it does not take much!

Last week I did a party for a lovely lady who loves bright colours. She and her friends have been card making for about a year now and many of them come to my classes so I wanted to make something a little different with them.

This is what we made. The stamp sets are Petal Pizzazz, Scratched and Fresh Cuts. Both the Petal Pizzazz and Fres Cuts Stamps are in the current mini catalogue. I know this week I have been telling you about the retired list from Stampin’ Up! but I should also remind you that the Mini Catalogue also runs out at the end of this month. A few of the stamps may make it into the new catalogue but many wont so if there is something in the Mini catalogue that you want you only have until the end of this month to order it, so be sure to let me have your order as soon as possible.

The flowers are stamped in colours from the Bold Bright range and the pot is made from Creamy Caramel Card. The ribbon is the Certain Celery Twill that was available on offer from Stampin’ Up! last month.

If you would like to have your own Stampin’ Up! Party please let me know – they are a lot of fun and as the hostess you have the chance to earn some products for free. I also give my hostesses a free copy of the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue as well as a special gift just to say Thank You. Last week’s hostess was able to get herself three stamp sets for free! If you book your party in September you can take advantage of the special offers on the Last Chance List and I will give you a copy of both the current and when it is available the new Idea Book and Catalogue. Drop me an email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to arrange your party.

Remember Summer?

Today I am going to share with you some projects that you may have seen here before. They all feature the Stampin’ Up! Summer by the Sea Stamp Set. It is one of the Stamps on the Last Chance List and its one I am going to miss – the images, especially the one of the little girl remind me of holidays by the sea. Once this stamp set is sold out it will be gone for ever, so if you want it place your order with me as soon as possible bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk – I would hate for you to miss out.
I hope these have brought back some happy memories for you too
