Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Have you got your Free Sale-A-Bration stamp set(s) yet? No – well check this post to find out how you can get them and contribute to the disaster relief effort in Haiti too.

Today some fellow demo’s and I are going to show you a whole load of projects all featuring the lovely free stamp sets – so why not hop around all the blogs and see what its all about?

A special hello if you are visiting for the first time as part of the blog hop.  You may have just come from the Carolyn's blog - did you love her project?  Ready for more? There are 15 blogs on this round so why not get a nice cuppa, settle in and enjoy the inspiration they are providing?

OK, well as some of you know I am loving the adorable Good Neigbours stamp set so I am going to share a couple more projects using that with you.

Firstly there is this little pocket card.

The main card is made from Kraft card stock layered with the scrummy Bridesmaid Speciality Papers, I adore the screen and texture that they bring to a project. The house is stamped in Tempting Turquoise, Brilliant Blue and Real Red onto Very Vanilla Card. The insert also has a stamped greeting.

Secondly I am going to show you the swaps I made for our Team Meeting last weekend.

These sweet little calendar holders were made from the To The Nines Speciality Papers. I don’t really know why they are called papers, as really they are wonderfully textured card! I also don’t know why I have not used them before! The main images were stamped with Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Bordering Blue. The holders were decorated with the Eyelet Border Punch and some Chocolate Chip Ribbon.

Here they are all packed up and ready to go.

So are you ready to hop to the next blog? Well here is the link to take you to the lovely Karin’s Blog.

Haiti Disaster Relief

A couple of days ago I mentioned that Stampin’ Up! were planning to do something towards the disaster relief fund for the people of Haiti. In the past Stampin’ Up! Customers and Demonstrators have made a real difference in response to similar emergencies and it would be great to do this same this time.

Now I have already shared with you one thing you can do to support the cause and possibly win some blog candy – check out this post here.

Stampin’ Up! are contributing £1 for each set of the wonderful Greenhouse Garden Stamp Set you buy between now and 28 February. This set is incredibly versatile and very pretty so I know you will enjoy using it. I have decided to match Stampin’ Up!’s contribution so each set you purchase from me will mean a £2 contribution to this worthwhile cause (as well as hours of fun for you).

Wow what a fantastic day we had last Saturday! With my lovely upline Monica and I arranged a team training day and we had a blast. The time just flew by and I loved every moment of it. I just wish we could have spent longer together – there were some amazing people there many of whom I feel privileged to count amongst my friends and some of whom I was meeting for just the first time. When I joined Stampin’ Up!

I had no idea of the friendships I was going to make but I cherish each and every one of them. I am sure anyone joining an active team like mine will find the same. If you are considering becoming a demonstrator now really is the best time – you can find out a bit more here about the special offers from Stampin’ Up! and from myself. Email me (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) and we can arrange a convenient time for a no obligation chat about it.

As well as business training and a great talk from the wonderful Juile we did some crafting – would you like to see some of the projects? There were many so I will share a couple with you now and then the rest over the next few days.

Firstly there was this lovely Real Red pocket card featuring the wonderful Good Neighbours Stamp Set. You may have noticed that I am loving this set, and its even better because its free! I have lots more samples with it to show you so I hope you love it too ...

Next is the card we made using the Delicious Happy Moments Stamp Set (which has just found its way into my collection so I know there will be more samples with this set!) The image was coloured with blender pens, and texture added to the background using punched circles – a clever trick borrowed from the Idea Book and Catalogue.

Before I sign off I wanted to let you know I will be taking part in a Sale-A- Bration Blog Hop of Sunday so be sure to check in for lots of inspiration, and that if you check the post below you can find out how you could win some Blog Candy and help the Disaster Relief Efforts for Haiti.

It could be you...

Who wins my blog candy!

I am very fortunate to be able to spend my time doing things that I love and as you all know one of those is stamping and making amongst other things the creations you see on this blog. I am constantly both thrilled and humbled that people actually like them and that you all keep coming back and reading my blog. To say Thank You and to celebrate passing the 200 post mark I have some candy that you could win.

Not the best photo I have ever taken but I am fed up of waiting for some decent light, but in this picture you can see a brand new and unopened Cause for Celebration Stamp Set, A complete pack of 12x12 designer Series Paper in Old Olive and another in Pumpkin Pie. I will add a few other bits and bobs to this along with some handmade goodies.

Now I have been very saddened by the news coming out of Haiti, and soon Stampin’ Up! are going to be announcing a plan to help but in the mean time I want to encourage you all to contribute to the international disaster relief fund You can find out how to do it here. If you email me (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) telling me how much you have contributed I will give you a further two entries into the blog candy draw and match the total contribution made by those entering my draw.

Stamp With Us Sunday

Goodness what a bad blogger I have been – no posts since Wednesday! Thank goodness for Stamp With Us and the Sunday Challenge to get me back at it. Mind you I have been busy crafting, making swaps and samples for a very special day yesterday – our Stampin’ Up! Team Training Day. I had a wonderful time * waves to everyone who was there* and just wish I could have spent even more time chatting with everyone! I will tell you all about in another day ...

This is also a very special post as its my 200th! I think that calls for some candy don’t you? Check back in the next couple of days to find out how you can win yourself a selection of lovely Stampin’ Up! products and some handmade goodies.

Today I want to focus on this week’s Stamp With Us Challenge. It is one of my favourite types of challenges, a sketch challenge. Here is the sketch.

Now it was my OH’s birthday this week, so I decided to make his card using this sketch. He is obsessed with football (leaves me lots of crafting time!) so I used the colours of his favourite team (West Ham) and a set that could have been made for him, Just Soccer.

Can you guess how old he is? The background was made by stamping the football in the set in Bravo Burgundy onto Whisper White, punching them out with a circle punch and then layering them onto a Bravo Burgundy layer. The main panel was great fun to make; I used all the stamps in the set! To get the lighter stampings I stamped onto scrap paper before I stamped onto my card. I used Brocade Blue and Rose Red inks.

I am pleased to say he loved his card and hope you like it too. It would be lovely if you decided to join this week’s challenge and I can’t wait to see what you all create.

Baby its cold outside ...

Brrrrrr its cold here today – we have had some snow overnight too, about 3 or 4 inches. When I was walking home last night we have a few couple of centimetres and it occurred to me that most years where I live we would consider that was lots so I guess by our standards it’s very snowy again here. We are due to have lots of things delivered over the next couple of days and have a big party planned for the weekend, so I am hoping that they won’t be disrupted too much. I need the washing machine that is due tomorrow (my 12 year old one has finally been disgracefully retired) and I have some lovely Stampin’ Up! goodies due as well. Some of them are for me but mostly they are for classes I am doing including a full day with about 30 ladies that I am very excited about.

Now in my last post I mentioned that I had enjoyed working with the Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy and Summer Sun colour combination and today I am going to share with you a card using similar colours.

This time I have teamed the Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy with Old Olive and Rose Red. This card features the Good Neighbours stamp set which you can have for FREE when you place an order with me for £45 or more. You can check this post for details.  I am really enjoying mixing and matching the houses and roofs with this set!

I used a blender pen to colour the houses, once they were stamped I just pulled the colour across using a light circular motion, quick and easy and I love the effect.  I still have some places available in my colouring clubs if you want to learn more about this and other fun techniques.

Now I just need to decided if I need more snow pictures (I have lots from last time that still need editing and using) or if I should go straight to my craft desk ... what do you think?

Where ever you are I hope your house is keeping you warm and safe.

Stamp With Us Sunday

Hello everyone and welcome to another Stamp With Us Sunday. The challenge for the next two weeks is one of my favourite types of challenges – a colour challenge. I love being challenged to use combinations and colours I don’t reach for as often and this colour challenge fell into that category for me, and now I have used them I am not sure why I don’t reach for them more often! I also love that this challenge allowed me to indulge in something else I am very much enjoying at the moment – colouring in, but I am getting ahead of myself and I should start by showing you the inspiration picture.

Now who would not want a shopping bag like that!

So here is the card I made. Now this card was for a very special lady who had a very special birthday which we helped her to celebrate last night, so as every your comments and observations are very welcome but please don’t shout ...

I have gone back to one of my absolute favourite sets from the catalogue for my focal image, I know I use it a lot but I hope you don’t mind, Blooming with Beauty. The image was coloured using the water colour wonder crayons in Bravo Burgundy, Summer Sun, Always Artichoke and a touch of Cameo Coral. I love how you can get so much variety of shading using this technique.

I decided to add some dimension to the card by raising the flowers on dimensional above the pot, and then to add some individual flowers on dimensional too.  Hopefully you can see them better here.

If you love to colour as much as I do and/or want to learn more about it you may want to check out my colouring club here for some fantastic deals on the Stampin’ Up! Colouring mediums.

My fun with this card was not yet however over. I also enjoy making my own backing papers and so have fun combining images from the Beautiful Thing and Good Neighbours Sets. The leaf in this pattern is one of the trees from this versatile and Free Sale-A –Bration set – you can find out how to get yours here.  I also used my Cameo Coral Watercolour Wonder crayon to get the lovely soft splatter effect on the paper

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you decided to join in the challenge – either post a card on your blog and go to the Stamp With Us Blog and add a link or if you don’t have a blog do send me a photo of your creation and I will add it here and set up the links for you. I do hope you decided to play along.

Have a great day, happy craftin’

Bekka

PS: I have just noticed that very soon I will be reaching my 200th post - I think that calls for some celebratory candy - dont you?  Make sure you check back over the next week or so to find out all about it!
