All A Flutter

In my last post I mentioned that I had made some patterned papers with my baby wipe technique butterflies. Now when I said some I actually meant quite a lot, so today I am going to show you one of the projects I have made using them.

Here the stamped card has been made up into a cute little tote very similar to this one here. I then mounted more of the stamped card onto card bases in coordinating colours and added a layered sentiment from one of my favourite sentiment sets, Oval All.

Even after these projects I had lots of pretty butterflies and butterfly paper left so you can expect more cards featuring them soon! In my next posting I will show you one of the projects we made at our team training day last weekend ...

I also wanted to remind you that you only have until 7 May to join my team at the bargain price of just £125. My team of Stampin’ Superstars welcomes everyone , those becoming demonstrators to save money on their supplies and those looking to build a business. You can find out more about what you get when you join my team here and if it is something you are considering please get in touch as soon as possible email me at bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk – this reduced rate is only available for another few days.

Stamp with Us Sunday

Sunday already – how did that happen! The days and weeks seem to be going past so fast or is that just me?

As you read this I will be in Peterborough running a team training day with the lovely Monica. I cant wait to see everyone and I know it’s going to be a fantastic day. If you want to be at the next one you can be – if you check the post below you will see details of a very special offer for those thinking of becoming a demonstrator – if you want to know more contact me for a no obligation chat.

SO onto this weeks challenge from Stamp With Us – its a theme challenge and the theme is birthdays. Now I don’t know about you but I always need birthday cards so I really enjoyed this challenge.

For my card I played with the lovely new All A Flutter Stamp – how pretty is this butterfly! I coloured it using the babywipe technique and Elegant Eggplant, Regal Rose, Take with Teal and Ballet Blue inks. They were fun to make and I am pleased with how they turned out. I had enough to make a bunch of swaps, and few cards and some background papers too. I will show you those projects soon. Now these particular butterflies were also covered with champaign mist shimmer paint.

The butterflies were mounted on some Almost Amethyst stamped with the flowers from the glorious Greenhouse Garden set in Lovely Lilac and Elegant Eggplant. Now since I am rapidly becoming addicted to shimmer I added some more to this layer. The pink polkadot papers are from the Scrummy Sweet Pea Paper Stack. I have lightly inked the edges of it and mounted it on Elegant Eggplant and added some Rose Red Double Stitched Ribbon and a sentiment from WOW flowers.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team’s creations – they are a talented bunch ...

I hope you are having a great Sunday and I know we will be!

Become a Stampin' Superstar and save 10%

Becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is one of the best decisions I have made in the longest of times. I make money doing something I love, my crafting habit is self funding, I get to share what I love with other people and help my team do the same and best of all I have met some wonderful people who I can now call friends.

Today Stampin’ Up! have launched a very time limited offer to those who decide they want to become a demonstrator. Between now and 7 May the starter kit which contains everything you need to start your business (including 4 stamp sets, a Stampin’ around wheel, five ink pads, ribbon, cardstock, a full set of pastels, business materials and much much more) and which is valued at over £240 is available for just £125. What amazing value, especially when you consider you can customise the contents to include the colours and stamps you want.

As well as the starter kit what do you get when you join my team, the Stampin’ Superstars.  I call them my Superstars as they are just that - super and total stars.

• A 20% discount on all your Stampin’ Up! goodies (and if you place an order for over £150 in your first 45 days of being a demo you get a whopping 30% off that order!)

• The chance to earn 15 stamp sets for free in your first 6 months

• Access to the dedicated Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Web Site where you can place and track orders, see how you are doing and find lots of very useful information

• Access to a dedicated web site for my Stampin’ Superstars, it is a place you can chat with your fellow Superstars and where we share information

• Regular newsletters both from me and from Stampin’ Up!

Vogue for a Hostess

A little while ago I mentioned that I was going to be presenting at some of the Stampin’ Up! Regional Training Events, and I even showed you a picture of my swap card for Coventry and Reading. When I got back I was swept away with excitement about the new mini catalogue and don’t think I told you about the actual Regional Events! Whoops.

I was very honoured, very excited and totally nervous to have been invited to present at the Coventry Regional Training. One of the great things about Stampin’ Up! is the level of support we get from the company and this round of training was focussed on helping us to deliver great workshops and parties to our customers. I love doing parties and if you have not hosted a party or been to one I suggest you contact either me or your Demo to get one organised – fun and the chance of free goodies – what could be better, but I digress!

As well as sharing with the other demos who were at the event how I get ready for a Stampin’ Up! Party I shared this project with them. I also shared it with the huge number of people who came to the evening event to discover what Stampin’ Up! is all about. Now what I have noticed is that when I make these at home my hands are really steady, but put me by Elmo (a supposedly friendly projector that shows people what you are doing) and I can’t stop my hands shaking, makes for interesting results! This project shows the rock and roll technique on the flowers and also happens to be the kind of gift I give to hostesses as a little thank you from me.

I have used a mix of Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst and Mellow Moss for this set along with the adorable Vintage Vogue set (I am working on using some other stamps honest!) and French Script. Now I have been asked by a few people to do a tutorial on this project so if you would like instructions on how to make it please drop me an email (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) and I will sent it to you as soon as it is written.

Despite the nerves I really enjoyed the training events, it is always such fun to hang out with inspiring crafty friends.

Push the Envelope

I had a wonderful time in Sunny Somerset and in Plymouth over the weekend. As well as crafting with friends and spending time with some adorable people, I even got to visit two lighthouses and get sand between my toes – for me it really does not get a lot better than that!

There are lots of things that demos like to do when they get together – chat, laugh, craft, swap ideas and inspiration etc. One way we did this at the training event was the demo choice competition. I decided to enter this little mini album.

It is made from four envelopes stuck together. I made mine using the Stampin’ Up! envelopes as they are such good quality. Once they had been stuck together I decorated each panel with papers from the Autumn Moments Designer Series Pack and the coordinating colours of card stock. I adore the papers in this pack – the wood grain pattern is just divine and the others are pretty scrummy too!

The album is held together with some of the new Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon which I have heard described as liquid chocolate...  I also made an accent for the front of the album using the wonderful new Bird Punch.

The inserts were made from coordinating card stock and stamped with images from my current favourite stamp set – Vintage Vogue. I also added journaling blocks made using images from Framed with love stamped onto more of the papers from Autumn Moments.

I also made this little accent for the back page using the flowers and sentiment from Vintage Vogue and a frame from Framed with love

There were some stunning entries and I did not win, however I hope you like this little album. If you would like to make one of your own I offer it as a class so please do get in touch.

Stamp with Us Sunday

As you read this I will be in what I hope is a sunny Devon – visiting with the lovely Stevie and her family and attending the Stampin’ Up! Training and Experience Event – so hello if we met yesterday :-D

Can you believe its Sunday again already and today is a Stamp with Us Challenge Sunday. This week it’s a sketch challenge. I really enjoy these challenges and hope you will play along too.

So here is this week’s sketch

And my card

I have turned to the lovely Vintage Vogue stamp set again – this one is earning a regular place on my craft table. Here I have stamped the flowers in Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, Lavender Lace and Sage Shadow. The big flower has been rocked and rolled with Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose. The base is Almost Amethyst and the layers are Not Quite Navy. The sentiment has been framed with one of the scrummy new Framed with Love Stamps.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and that you will have a go at this challenge

Tweet Notes

Have you fallen in love with the new two step Bird Punch from Stampin’ Up! yet? I know I have!

I needed a big batch of Thank You Cards to send out and I am hoping that they have now all arrived so its OK to show you these creations here. Using the two step bird punch made making this cards a lot of fun – just as well as I made 60 of them...

The card base is Kraft and the birds are an assortment of Taken with Teal, Old Olive, More Mustard and then some in Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Almost Amethyst. The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly. I was pleased with how they turned out and hope the recipients liked them.

Spring Flowers

I love flowers and I am really hoping all these April showers we are having will mean lots and lots of May flowers! So in hope of a pretty spring I am going to share a card made using my favourite image from the Flower for All Season’s Stamp Set – the beautiful basket of Tulips.
Here they have been teamed with papers from the massive Sweet Pea Paper Stack, and the colours are Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Barely Banana. The flowers were coloured using my Stampin’ Up! Markers. I enjoy the richness of the colour these markers give and that you can blend gently with them.
I hope this card makes you smile and that you have lots of flowers too.
