Last Chances and a Special Birthday

Tomorrow we find out which products are not going to be in the next Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue. I know there are a few sets I am really hoping not to see on that list! How about you – which stamp sets and accessories do you want to make sure are in your collection before it’s too late?  I will be emailing a copy of the Last Chance List to newsletter subscribers as soon as it is available.  You can subscribe to my newsletter on the top right hand side of this blog.

Today I am going to share a card with you that features lots of different stamp sets – all of which I love! I hope they are not on the last chance list tomorrow. The stamp sets are Party This Way, Cheers to You, Plane and Simple, Circle Circus, Perfect Punches and the Musical Notes Wheel. Can you spot them all?  This card was made for a special friend who recently celebrated one of those birthdays that end in a zero!

What are you going to do when School's go back?

For me the August Bank Holiday marks the end of the summer, certainly this year the weather has become more autumnal! One of the things I love about the transition to autumn is the excitement of the new school year – new starts and new things to learn, even though it’s been many years since I was in school!

I know for many Mum’s this time of year is a whole mix of emotions, the return to school a reminder that the kids are that bit older and the expense of the new school year mixed with the promise of time to dedicate to something else.

Why not use that time to build a business and make a positive contribution to the family’s finances on the run into Christmas and beyond? Joining Stampin’ Up! offers you a great business opportunity that you can work around your other commitments. There are good financial rewards available and when you join my team I will help you achieve your personal goals.

Email me today (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) to find out how joining Stampin’ Up! right now can help you and your family have a great autumn.

This card seems to fit the bill today – autumnal leaves and an invitation to do something amazing!

Springtime Vintage No Stamping Card!

Today I am going to share a card with you that was inspired by one of yesterday’s scrapbook pages! I love the colour combination and the clustered embellishments with butterflies so decided to make some more and pop them on a card.

Springtime Vintage No Stamping Card
The base card is River Rock, the papers are from the Springtime Vintage Collection. There is also some Baja Breeze Card and Designer Series Papers. The butterflies are cut from the wonderful Beautiful Wings Embosslit. The edges of everything have been inked with Always Artichoke.

I love the papers in this pack and am going to really miss it at the end of this Mini Catalogue Period. If you want to make sure you get your Springtime Vintage Papers email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to order yours today.

Scrapbook Saturday

I am really enjoying scrapbooking at the moment so today I am going to share not one but two lay outs with you. Both were made with my August Scrapbook Kit and both feature a friend’s daughter eating!

The base card for this first page is Baja Breeze and it has been teamed with some River Rock and papers from the Springtime Vintage Collection. The embellishments were made from punched circles, Butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and some Springtime Vintage Buttons.

Springtime Vintage Scrapbooking Kit
All the edges were inked using Always Artichoke giving everything a coordinated and pulled together look.

Springtime Vintage Scrapbooking Kit
This second page was made with the same kit and again featured some layered embellishments.

Springtime Vintage Scrapbooking Kit
My friend and I had met for coffee at one of our favourite coffee shops. Rather than waiting for her Mum to pass her a small part of the croissant the whole thing was picked up off the plate and an amazing discovery made – the seam of chocolate! I was in stitches as the rest of the croissant split as she made her way down just the chocolate seam with a look of total glee on her face!

If you would like to join the Scrapbook Club the details are here, we would love you to join us either in person on by post.

Find Out About Friday - the 2011 Feeling Crafty Christmas Purse Planner

For the last few years I have had a lot of fun designing and sharing a Christmas Planner with you all and why would this year be any different? So this week’s Find Out About Friday features the 2011 Feeling Crafty Christmas Planner.

When I use my planner each year it spends a lot of time in my handbag and this year I took inspiration from that and the planner looks like a purse / clutch bag.  I have always wanted a red polka dot purse and now I have one!

Feeling Crafty Christmas Purse Planner
Lovely and simple on the outside so it does not get too damaged in my bag, it would also look great with more decorations on it.

Feeling Crafty Christmas Purse Planner
Then when you open it up this is what you see

Feeling Crafty Christmas Purse Planner Inside
A refillable custom notepad, a pocket for receipts and two pockets for lists

I have added a couple of labels since this photo.

Edited:  Unfortunately, following some computer problems I am not able to send out a tutorial for this project.  However if you sign up for my newsletter you will get free tutorials as well as hints and tips.  Its free and will be delivered direct to your inbox.  Just pop your email address in the box on the top right hand side of this page.

Stampin' Superstars - Could it be you?

Well yesterday’s page now has a story! And its a great story – my treat was to be taken to London to see Mama Mia – I have wanted to see this show live since it first opened and I was not disappointed at all! Yes I did dress to match the page just in case (please tell me I am not the only person who chooses clothes to go with scrapbook papers when they think they may be photographed!) I will update the page soon and show it to you when it is done.

For today I am going to share a card I made for one of my lovely team of Stampin’ Superstars. She has only been in the team a few months and has already achieved so much. I am so excited for her and so proud of her. This card celebrates her latest achievements and I know she is going to enjoy all the 11 free Stamp Sets she earned from Stampin’ Up! as an additional reward for her efforts. Her business is off to a great start and I know it is going to continue to grow and flourish.

Stampin' Superstars Congratulations Card
I had to include stars on the card as Carole is a total super star on every level and given that her crafting mantra is ‘if it has an edge ink it’ I have done just that!

Stampin' Superstar Congratulations Card Detail
The Designer Series Paper was also stamped with Stars and then everything given a sparkle with some shimmer paint which I hope you can see in this picture.

Stampin' Superstars Congratulations Card Detail 2
If you would like to turn your hobby into a business there are great rewards available from Stampin’ Up! for doing so (not just free stamp sets but let’s face it free stamp sets are never bad!). Contact me today and find out how I can help you get your business off to a great start and how I can support you in experiencing business success just like Carole when you become a member of my team. You certainly could be the next of my Stampin' Superstars to get a card like this. Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and lets chat.

Scrapbook Saturday

Just a quick post from me today, to share a scrapbook page with you. This is one of the pages I made from this month’s Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Kit. If truth be known I have loved this kit so much that I have treated myself to a second one!

This page does not have a story or a photo yet – quite appropriate for my day today – I am being taken out for the day but I don’t know what we are going to do or where we are going! Who knows I may have the photo and the story by the end of the day. I also want to put a title overlapping the patterned strip at the top.

Springtime Vintage Scrapbook Page
The papers are from the gorgeous Springtime Vintage Pack and here it is teamed with Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and River Rock card. The journaling panel is also stamped using the lovely flowers from the Baby Blossoms Stamp Set.

Got to dash – hope you enjoy your day

Vintage Vogue - Thank You

On Monday I started showing you some cards made with the lovely Vintage Vogue Stamp Set which had been a bit neglected until this last weekend. I find it is the kind of stamp set that once I have it out I just want to keep stamping with so the answer to the question from Tuesday is no – I did not stop at just two cards - there were more!

Lots more and today I am going to share a card I made lots of! It also features one of my new favourite colour combinations – River Rock, Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzleberry.

Vintage Vogue Thank You
Most of the stamps are from the Vinatge Vogue Stamp Set and here I have teamed it with one of the sentiments from Wedding Sweet Stamp Set.  I love how the two different stamp sets work together!

Vintage Vogue Wedding Sweet Thank You Detail
The card also features some of the gorgeous Rich Razzleberry Wide Striped Ribbon which I got free from Stampin’ Up! Check out this post to find out how you can get yours and then email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Vintage Vogue Birthday Card

As I mentioned yesterday I seem to have neglected the wonderful Vintage Vogue Stamp Set recently. Now once the stamp set was out I found once card using it was just not enough! Today I am going to share a birthday card featuring both the Vintage Vogue and Wedding Sweet Stamp Sets.

Vintage Vogue Birthday Card
For this card the wonderful large swirl in Wedding Sweet was stamped in Pear Pizzaz and decorated with flowers from the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set.

Vintage
The flowers have been stamped in Melon Mambo and Concord Crush. If you would like to learn how to achieve this look why not book a Stampin’ Up! Party and I can come along and show you and your friends. We will have a lot of fun and as hostess you could also earn some exclusive Stampin’ Up! products for free – find out all about it here.  Oh and don't forget this month's special offer which means you and your guests can get a special free gift - details here.

Neglected Stamps - Vintage Vogue

Do you sometimes find that you have neglected one of your favourite stamp sets for a while? A little while ago one of my lovely customers (Hello Ellie!) happened to mention that she had noticed that I had not used the wonderful Vintage Vogue Stamp Set for a while. I thought that seemed odd but when I thought about it I realised she was right and it was time I did something about it!

So today I am going to share a card which teams the Vintage Vogue Stamps with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

Vintage Vogue Butterfly Card
The colours are Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso. The butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the the Beautiful Butterflies Die are cut from Very Vanilla card. The central butterfly is decorated with the delicious flower and leaf swirl from Vintage Vogue. The sentiment is from Wedding Sweet.

Vintage Vogue Butterfly Detail
So I hope I am forgiven by you all and of course by the lovely Vintage Vogue Stamp Set – which will be inky again very soon!

Are there any other stamp sets in my collection you think should get some inky love? Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk or leave a comment below.
