Sneak Peek - Stampin' Up! My Way Badge

I had an amazing day yesterday at the Stampin' Up! Regional Training in Reading!  It was fantastic to spend some time with some of the people in my team, to catch up with friends and make new ones.  We had some wonderful presentations and I have come away with lots of ideas that I am looking forward to sharing with you all soon.  Stampin' Up! really do know how to put on a good event and have some amazing things in store for us all over the next few months.

One of the themes for the training was Stampin' Up! My Way - all about how to make the Stampin' Up! business work for us, what ever our circumstances and what ever we want to get out of it.  As part of that theme we got to make our own name badges - our way.  Here is mine
Stampin' Up! My Way Badge

Yes there are some products I use a lot of there, the Beautiful Wings Embosslit, the Victoria Crochet Trim and Everything Eleanor Stamps, but it is also packed with new products too - new papers, new stamps, new ribbon and new Dies!  I know you are going to see a lot more of each of these new things from me as I can't stop using them and have so many ideas for them.

All will be revealed on Tuesday...  Make sure you are on my newsletter email list (box at the top right hand side of my blog) to get a copy emailed to you.

I am so lucky to work with such a wonderful company and such uplifting people.  Yesterday reminded me of that and if you would like to join us for the next Stampin' Up! Event you can.  As well as the Regional Training this year Stampin' Up! are offering Leadership Training for those who have a team and then later in the year (November) there is the European Convention which is open to every Demonstrator in Europe.  This year is is going to be in Mainz in Germany and promises to be a very very exciting event.  I would love for you to come with me and share what will be a magical experience.  Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to find out how you can.

And back to the page for today.  It uses the lovely Tickets and Tags Scrapbooking Kit.  I love the colours and the papers and the die cut adhesives in this kit, they are fantastic for so many occasions and for so many styles. I have shown you some pages using it already and have lots more to show you too!
Tickets and Tags Scrapbook Page featuring the Framelet Dies

So can you spot what is new here?

One of the things I love about being a Demonstrator is that I get to see and use the new products before they are available for general sale.

By the time you read this I will be spending the day with more of my team and my fellow Demonstrators and that is another thing I love about being a Demonstrator, spending time with other creative people who understand my love of pretty paper and all things stamping!

On 1st May there are also some exciting changes coming for those who want to join us - email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to find out all about them and how you can join my successful team and make money doing what you love

Find Our About Friday - How to Make your stamped images look like they are speeding along.

For this week's Find Out About Friday I am going to share with you how to make your stamped images look like they are speeding along your card.

This card features the lovely speedboat image from the Need for Speed Stamp Set and was one of the cards we made at my last card class.
How to make your stamped images speed across your card

Creating this effect is fun and easy, and everyone enjoyed trying it and got great results.

Ink your chosen stamp well with a non permanent ink like the Stampin' Up! Classic Inks.  Stamp where you want your image, in this case the speedboat, to end up.

Quickly and without reinking the stamp, move the stamp back a little in the direction you want your image to come from, stamp again and then repeat this step until you have created a long enough trail.  Each time you stamp the image it will be a bit paler, creating this fun effect of movement.

I hope you decide to have a go at this technique.  If you would like to lean more about upcoming classes and learn new ways to use your stamps check out this link

Pocketful of Posies Scrapbook Page for the Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club

This Thursday is April's Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club and I can't wait!  I realised however that I have not shown you all the pages from last month yet, and since we used the gorgeous Pocketful of Posies Papers which you can get for FREE if you place an order for at least £45 of Stampin' Up! goodies before the end of the month, I thought I should put that right!

This page contrasts how I felt visiting the Natural History Museum when I was a child with how I felt on a recent visit.  As a child I really did not appreciate what an amazing place it is.  The journalling is inside the envelopes.

Spiced Paisley Stamp Set - Only available to buy for one more week!

When I first saw the Spiced Paisley Stamp Set I was taken straight back to childhood memories (read nightmares) of Paisley Patterned Party Dresses - now there is nothing wrong with Paisley Patterned Party Dresses as such - they just remind me of some incredibly bad childhood parties!

Once however I started playing with the Spiced Paisley Stamps those horrible parties and muted Paisley Patterned Party Dresses were soon forgotten!  I love how easy it is to create fun and fast cards in an array of colours, how you can, as on this card feature the Paisley Pattern,

or you can achieve more subtle looks like these cards, I showed you a while ago.

Scrapbook Saturday - Shabby Balconies

Today I am going to share a page featuring the gorgeous Spice Cake Papers and Spice Cake Buttons.  The photos are from our mini holiday in Malta last December, I loved all the shabby balconies and weathered window frames, but found them quite hard to take photos of!
Spice Cake Scrapbook Page

I really enjoyed scrapping with these wonderful Spice Cake Papers and Buttons, and have made lots of pages with them.
Spice Cake Scrapbook Page
In fact here is another page - it is missing its journalling - but features the lovely Shelli Gardner who co-founded Stampin' Up! and the photo was taken last year on the incentive trip to Prague.

Find Out About Friday - How to change to look of your Designer Series Papers

I love the Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up! but sometimes they are not quite what I want for a particular project, so today I thought I would show you how you can easily change the look of your Designer Series Papers.

For these two examples I am going to show you are using the wonderful Beyond the Garden Designer Series Papers (which you could earn for free this month - just ask me how!).
Beyond the Garden Designer Series Papers

I love how vibrant and funky they are, but for these two projects I wanted to match them with other colours and to soften their looks.  The same technique would also work to add vibrancy to a soft coloured paper.

Firstly I took the sheet of paper with large white flowers outlined in Pacific Point.  I wanted to use the papers on a River Rock and Ridinghood Red Card so needed to tie them in somehow.  So I coloured the flowers using reinkers and a waterbrush.  Here it is part way through the process
Colouring on Designer Series Papers

and here is the finished card
Card with Coloured Designer Series Papers

Then I took the Wild Wasabi Sheet with the white flowers and leaves outlined in Pacific Point.  It was the paper I used on this Butterfly Card I showed you earlier this week.
Butterfly

I coloured the white spaces using my Watercolour Wonder Crayons in Pretty in Pink and Wild Wasabi.
Colouring on Designer Series Papers

This totally changed the feel of the papers and made it suitable to use on this card.

So next time you want to change the look of your Designer Patterned Papers why not get colouring?

My Friend for my Team

When ever I get together with my team as well as having a lot of fun, we make cards to swap with each other and today I am going to share a card using the My Friend Stamp Set for a recent team day.
My Friend Hello Card

I love spending time with my team - they are a fantastic group of people.  They have a wide range of experience, some have been crafting and Stamping for as long as they remember while others are quite new to stamping.  They come from a wide range of backgrounds and represent all age groups.  Some have full time jobs, some are stay at home Mums, some work part time.

What they want from Stampin' Up! varies just as much - and the good news is that for all of them their goals are achievable with Stampin' Up!  With your own Stampin' Up! business you can make a full time income, make some additional money towards the bills or that special treat.  You can also save money on your personal crafting supplies!

What the team do have in common is their love of crafting and the enjoyment they get in sharing that with others.

Does that sound like you?

To find out more about how you could start your own Stampin' Up! business  and meet your personal and financial goals, email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and we can talk it through

Congratulations Card Featuring Red Glimmer Paper

Back in this post I told you all about the wonderful product that is Red Glimmer Paper. I love being able to add sparkle to a project without having a lot of mess to clean up!  When a good friend, who happens to love all things glitter, announced her engagement I knew straight away I wanted to use the Red Glimmer Paper on a congratulations card for the happy couple.

This is what I came up with
Congratulations Card featuring Red Glimmer Paper

The Red Glimmer Paper was cut with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit.  I have used Shimmer White Card for the base and the layers, along with the hearts from the Confetti Stamp Set and the gorgeous En Francais Background Stamp (I masked off all but a small section of my card).  A liberal sprinkling of Pearls complete this congratulatory card.

Now the Red Glimmer Paper is, like everything else in the Mini Catalogue, only available to purchase until the end of this month - that is less than 2 weeks away.  It is fantastic value at just £3.95 for two 12x12 sheets.  To order this and anything else you want from the Mini Catalogue, email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk but please don't leave it too late as I would not like you to miss out on these wonderful products.
