Dreaming about Spring!

The Stampin' Up! catalogue contains many many lovely stamp sets but there is one I have wanted for a long time – Live your Dreams. It includes one of my favourite quotes ‘Go Confidently in the direction of your Dreams’ and the images with it are scrummy too. Well as a little treat to myself for going towards one of my dreams and launching the on line class Create Your Dreams I treated myself to the set and finally I have had a chance to play with it!

I have been asked to produce a spring themed project for a local magazine called Local Craft Matters, and nothing says spring to me more than fresh flowers. I don’t know about you but I love to have fresh flowers by the window. So I reached for some of my favourite colours at the moment and made this ever lasting bunch!
The stand up on their own and fold flat if you want to post them,
Full instructions are in the next issue of Local Craft Matters along with a very special treat just for readers, or if you drop me an email I will send them to you.

Right I have to go out into the cold wet winter – still it will soon be spring!

Total Stars

Well pantomime is now over – and for the first time in months I am home on Monday night. I am not quite sure what I am going to do with myself – mind you I start rehearsals for the next show I am directing next week so this feeling will only be temporary!

The pantomime was very well received and everyone involved was indeed a total star. In my last post I showed you some of the elements of this – so here is the finished card.

I came back to Blog Land to find that this blog has been nominated not once, but twice for an award! How fab is that. So thank you to both Nicci and Jo for the nominations. I get to nominate up to 10 other blogs – that is sooooo hard as there are so many I subscribe to and adore, so you may have to wait quite a while for this list.

I am looking forward to the first of my monthly classes at Priory House in Dunstable this week. I still have a few places available so if you are interested in coming along please get in touch. We are going to be making five cards and a special treat box – you can find out more about it here

Thanks for stopping by

Seeing Stars!

Just a quick post to show you some work in progress ...

Some stars for some stars :-)

I have been directing the village panto and tonight is our opening night. If you find yourself in the Eaton Bray area do come along and see Star Wreck, 2009 A Space Oddity, It should be a giggle and you will certainly be seeing some stars. Do get in touch if you want the details.

These are some of the elements of a batch of 50 thank you cards I need for all the wonderful people who are making the panto possible. I now have made most of the elements, just a little stamping to go and then assembly, before the longest job of all - writing them! I dont know about you but if I have a large batch of cards to do, I find it quicker to make all the parts first, so stamp all the images, cut them all out etc etc.

Do check back soon to see the final card

Welcome

I made this card to welcome a very special lady, Nicci, to my Stampin’ Up! Team. I am very excited to have such a talented lady join the team – she has only had her demo kit a few days but already she has made some wonderful cards which you can see on her blog here – please stop by and say hello.

Becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator has been wonderful for me and the only thing I regret is not having done so sooner. I have made some wonderful friends, got the wonderful Stampin’ Up! products at a discounted price, shared my love of crafting, seen the excitement on people’s faces when they do something they think they could not do, had lots of fun and supplemented my income!

If you are considering becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator there has never been a better time. The starter kit contains everything you need to get yourself set up and includes a cool £240 worth of stuff but only costs you £139! There are not many businesses that you can set up for so little. On top of that, during the Sale-A-Bration period (now to the end of February) Stampin’ Up! are also offering any free set from the catalogue, that’s right you can pick the most expensive if you want!

Additionally I am offering you an extra free set from me as a thank you for joining my team. Yes you read that right -that’s an extra 2 free sets, worth almost another £78!!!!!

That is not all – when you join my team you will also receive a special gift from me which will help you build your business, and will always have my support and help. I can provide you with advice and guidance as and when you need it, in a way that works for you.

Stampin’ Up offers many possible benefits to demonstrators with very different wants from their business and everyone is welcome in my team. To find out how becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator could work for you send me and email
bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk
and we can arrange a convenient time to talk. You dont have to do workshops and have nothing to loose from finding out more. Could you be the person who stops Nicci being the newest person in my team?

I look forward to hearing from you

Pink Taffeta Ribbon has then been threaded through. Brads are from the Silver Hodge Podge Hardware Kit, with the centre of the flower stamped, punched out and stuck in the middle. Layered onto Rose Red which has been stamped with the same stamp.

Feel the Love!

Special Offer Alert - read to the bottom of the post to find out how you could get one of my favourite crafting tools for Free!

On Saturday 31 January I will be running the first card making class at Priory House in Dunstable – I have been looking forward to it for a while, but since I made samples of the cards we are going to be making my excitement has grown and I cant wait :-) Here is a not so sneaky peak at what we are going to be making! There are 5 different cards all on a love and valentines theme along with a cute little heart shaped gift box. There are places still available if you want to join us for what is going to be a fantastic afternoon. If you would like more details or want to book a place drop me an email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

These cards have all been made using Stampin’ Up! Products and I will post each card in detail after the class. Don’t forget you can get these sets for free – there is one free set for each order over £45 – you can see the full details at the bottom of this post. If you are anywhere in the UK you can order these stamps from me so please do get in touch.

I have a very special offer for you as well –I really enjoyed using the stamps in the Rose is a Rose set and would love for you to experience it for yourself. Its an amazingly versatile set and I think you will be seeing a lot more of it here! Happy Birthday

It’s someone very special’s birthday today – my wonderful partner Joe. so here is a quick card I made for him. Recently he has been home a lot so and since I craft in the main living room of our house it has been hard to find the time to make this when he has not been there!

I love the Crazy for Cupcakes set from Stampin’ Up! It is so versatile. Here I stamped it in Chocolate Chip onto Very Vanilla and coloured it with Close to Coco, Ruby Red, Old Olive and Bashful Blue. The paper is one of my favourites from the Holiday Treasures Set – I love how this set can be for any occasion and not just Christmas. A quick length of Chocolate Chip Ribbon and the card was done.

I hope you all enjoy your day as much as my sweetheart, the Birthday Boy will!

Welcome baby ...

Some lovely friends of mine had an exciting new arrival over the weekend! Here is the card I made to welcome baby Frank into their family.

I have used the cute elephant from Stampin’ Up! Set Wild about You, stamped in Bashful Blue on Whisper White. I have followed these colours through using Bashful Blue Designer Paper, brads and stitched Ribbon (I adore this ribbon!) as well as Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.

Inside I used stamps from the Sale-A-Bration Congrats set (but in my haste forgot to take a picture!) As well as being ideal for this card there is something wonderful in using free stamps! To fond out how you can get them for free check out this post here (its towards the bottom of the post)

Have a great day – I am off to ink some rubber so catch you later

Sale-A-Brating the New Year

Happy New Year everyone – I hope that 2009 is a wonderful year for your all
Having seen in the New Year with some lovely friends this year its certainly been a good year for me so far. As well as spending time with friends, I have been busy getting ready for the start of Create Your Dreams – the new on line course I am running that can help you see how you can make your dreams a reality, make positive changes in your life and achieve your goals.
You can find out all about it here – it will be lovely to have you join us.

Over Christmas my craft stuff has to be packed away and today I was able to get it out again – Oh I have missed stamping and being creative. I had not realised how integral to my life crafting had become and it felt sooo good to be inking rubber again!

Here is one things I made – the rest was for Create Your Dreams so you will have to join the class to see those!

The stamps are from one of the Sale-A-Bration sets, Botanical Blooms - I love this set as it is a bit different for me. All the supplies for this project were from Stampin’ Up! Using Perfect Plum Ink, I stamped the Canvas Background Stamp onto Pale Plum Card, added a Whisper White Matt before mounting the whole thing on a Pale Plum Base. The outline of the flowers was stamped with Old Olive Ink on Whisper White Card. The leaves were then stamped with Mellow Moss. The petals were stamped with Pale Plum and then blended with Perfect Plum and a little Regal Rose using a blender pen. This was all then mounted on Mellow Moss and a scalloped Whisper White base. The finishing touch was the addition of 3 pearls from the Pretties Kit.

I really enjoyed making this – much as I love Christmas it was good to make a non Christmas Card! If you would like to get yourself one of the four Free (YES this stamp set can be yours for FREE) Sale-A-Bration sets get in touch now to place a qualifying order or to book a workshop. You can email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk . You can read all about Sale-A-Bration here or at the bottom of this post

Thanks for stopping by – its always good to see you
