A (month) Long Goodbye - the final instalment!

One of the things I have been doing this month is joining in a class project called Learn Something New Every Day. You can follow my progress on my personal blog here. I am a touch behind updating the blog, but have been recording my daily lessons ready to scrap them in this cute little book I made myself.

The cover features lots of products that I am very sad to say are retiring. The Owl is from On Board So Tweet (reduced to £5.88) The Papers are the Autumn Meadows Designer Series Papers, sadly sold out and the album features Taken with Teal, Very Vanilla and Kraft (soon to be called Crumb Cake!). I have also used elements from the Cherished Moments and Hidden Garden Blossoms Rub Ons. The Cherished Moments have been reduced to just £3.75 for two sheets.

I am very much enjoying putting this album together and having a good reason to keep something made with some of my favourite supplies!

Today’s cards are more congratulations cards. They feature the owl which has been coloured using the Platinium Shimmer Paint and then he has had the greeting from Say it with Scallops (also on the last chance list for only £11.25) stamped on his tummy. He is framed by stars stamped with more Platinium Shimmer Paint.

If you want these Tweet Chipboard Owls or the Stamp Set please let me know as soon as possible.

A (month) Long Goodbye 21

Occasionally I get an idea into my head for something I really just want to try! At our last Team Meeting our Swap Theme was Back to School and this was one of those moments. I really wanted to have a go at making one of the cute back packs that I have seen in blog-land but I needed it to be much simpler and much smaller as I had loads to make!

This is what I came up with – little Backpack NoteBooks ...

The Backpack itself is made from the wonderful To The Nines Speciality Papers – its more like card really and wonderfully textured so ideal for this kind of project. These papers are on the retired list so if you want some please hurry to place your order.

The closure features an apple stamp from the Occasionally Stamp Set – this useful set of 28 images suitable for all sorts of occasions is now just £15.48 – total Bargain! That is about 55p a stamp!!!!! Let me know if you would like to order a set.

Today I have another Live Your Dreams card. This is another congratulations card that went to one of my team. She has been doing so well, she recently achieved a promotion and a sales target which means she will be able to choose 5 Stamp Sets for Free – how brilliant is that especially with the new Catalogue just around the corner (if you want a copy there is a buy now button on the right hand side of this blog).

I am so pleased for her – its so exciting to be part of helping my team (I call them the Stampin Super Stars – as that is what they are to me) achieve their goals it makes me so proud when they do! If you would like to join my team of Super Stars please get in touch.

I also give my team a little gift when they promote – a bead to go on their Stampin’ Super Star bracelet. I made a little box to present this one in – using the To the Nines Speciality Papers (which are also on the last chance list). I still don’t know why we call them papers as they really are cardstock weight and beautifully textured!

A (month) Long Goodbye 19

One of my all time favourite quotes is ‘Go confidently in the direction of your Dreams’ – it is a quote which features on the Live your Dreams Stamp Set. I am so sad that this stamp set is retiring, not only because of the quote, but also because the flowers and the butterflies in the set are lovely too.

Today I am going to share with you a card I made for a lovely lady who has recently joined my team. I am so excited that she has and I am sure she will make a wonderful Demo. If you would like to find out about becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and would like to join one of the most successful teams in the UK then please get in touch – I love what I do and love to share it! Email me at bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk If you join now not only will you benefit from the last chance list but you will be able to order some products from the New Idea Book and Catalogue – how exciting!

Here is the card I made – the lady in question loves Old Olive so choosing the colours was easy ...

And here is a close up of the ribbon flower.

There will be instructions on how to make one of these in next month’s newsletter, so if you are not already subscribed please sign up by entering your details in the box on the right.

A (month) Long Goodbye 14

Would you like to see some of the Christmas cards we made at last weekend’s Get Ready for Christmas Class. Everyone made a total of 32 cards!

Our cards featured one of my current favourite colours, Taken with Teal. I am addicted to the colour, even my handbag is Taken with Teal – I am so sad it is retiring at the end of this month. If you want some please make sure you order it before it is gone forever...

For our Christmas Card Collection we teamed it with Real Red, Whisper White and Plutonium Shimmer Paint. There is also a little bit of Tempting Turquoise and Pretty in Pink on some of the cards – can you spot them?

Our next all day events are the October Stampfest events – all the details are here.

Getting Ready for Christmas (A month long goodbye 13)

I had a fantastic day on Saturday, I spent it with 11 lovely ladies all of whom wanted to start Getting Ready for Christmas! Goodness they were productive, each made 32 cards, an advent calendar, 12 tags and even a bonus project!

Today I am going to show you the advent calendar that they made.

This advent project makes a pretty hanging display which will bring some festive cheer to any room. It is made up of 25 numbered cones on satin ribbon which then hang on a length of stripy ribbon.

The Merry Moments Papers that these cones are made from is retiring as is the Chocolate Chip Stripy ribbon I have hung my cones from is also only available while stocks last or until the end of the month.

If you would like to make one of these advent calendars I have some kits available for sale. They are a little different from the one in the photo – the ribbons are Old Olive Green rather than Real Red and Chocolate Chip. You will get 25 pieces of double sided paper to make the cones, 25 brads, 25 punched shapes ready for you to add numbers to, 3m of stripy ribbon, over 6m of satin ribbon and full instructions. These kits cost £10 each including post and packing. If you would like to order one I have added a Paypal button on the side of the blog. Your kit will be posted out within a few days of receiving your payment.
