I am going to say goodbye to them by sharing one final collection of cards with you. These cards were made for 6 very special friends who today have gone to Glasgow to take on the Eggheads – yes five of them will hopefully be appearing on this TV Quiz Show in your living room soon. I am glad I am not the one who has to decide who is off the team (the TV company do that) and hope my clever friends all have a lot of fun.

Sunny Sunday!

I don’t know about you but I am looking forward to a relaxing Sunday! Later today a friend and I are going to meet up and go for a walk, the sun is shining and I am looking forward to it.

I have had a whirlwind and exciting few days with lots of stamping with lots of lovely people, many of whom I had not met before. I love this job and am so lucky to be able to share my passion.

Today I am going to share a picture of one of the notelets I made for the fantastic Chris who had a Stampin’ Up! Party this week. She shares my love of purple and I had a lot of fun making a little thank you gift for her.

Distress Magic

As the Monty Python team would say ... and now for something completely different!

Today I am going to share with you the inspiration sheets I put together for the ladies who came to my Distress Magic Class last night. Now you will have noticed that my natural stamping style is very different from these pieces that I am about to show you and making them took me way out of my stamping comfort zone and I LOVED it!

We used the Distressing Essentials Kit and learnt lots of different things you can do with the amazingly versatile tools and inks inside it.

Stampin' Up! Distressing Kit
I made up a collection of masks for us to use by punching shapes out of the Medium Window Sheets. I really enjoyed using these.

Stampin' Up! Distressing Kit
I also made up some spray mist using my re-inkers and shimmer paints. This worked well just sprayed on, or with the masks I had made.

Stampin' Up! Distressing Kit
The techniques we learnt and the way we approached our projects was totally different for all the ladies who came and I was so inspired and impressed by the pieces that they created. I want to play some more!

Stampin' Up! Distressing Kit
If you want to try these techniques for your selves, the tools that we used were the Distressing Essentials Kit, the Spritzer tool, Sponge Daubers and the Cutter Kit. If you purchase all of these from me before the end of February you can also have the stamp set that we used for free. Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to place your order – but do hurry, you only have until the 28th to get your free stamp set.

I had so much fun both at this class and getting ready for it. I can strongly recommend getting yourself the distressing kit and finding a couple of hours of play time – by the end you will have ink fingers, some beautiful and unique pieces and will be feeling totally de stressed!

Pack a Birthday Punch!

You know I love owl’s right? Well I thought it was about time I shared another card made with the wonderful owl image from the Punch Bunch Stamp Set with You. You only have until the 28th to get your hands on this stamp. It, along with four other stamps all of which coordinate with Stampin’ Up! Punches can be yours for free when you spend £45 on product from the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue between now and 28th February. Email me today to place your order – bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

I have used two other punches on this card, the branch from the two steo bird punch and the flowers are from the Boho Blossoms Punch. The Stampin’ Up! Punches cut through card stock brilliantly, are great value and really do make a difference to my card making. The newer flat style of punches also make storing them easy. It’s also fantastic having stamps such as these to coordinate with them! If you order some today you could get this stamp set for free! Details of how are here.

The stamping starts here!

I am really looking forward to this weekend – lots of crafting with lots of lovely people! Today is my monthly card class and our theme this month is birthdays, featuring the wonderful Party this Way Stamp Set.

Here is one of the cards we are going to be making. You can see we are using the Scallop Trim Corner Punch to tie our bunting to. I love that this punch is useful as well as pretty!

Can you spot where I have used a Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set?

Yes its in the bunting, and yes its the big stamp from Bliss again!

I am in the process of planning my next set of classes and I would love your input. It would be great if you took a few moments to complete this survey – there is a voucher for everyone who does!

Thank you

Another Floral Friday

I thought I would share another floral project with you today. This project was inspired by a bunch of flowers I saw hanging outside a shop yesterday.

I had fun with my ribbon - I used the Scallop Trim Corner Punch and threaded some Rich Razzleberry Taffeta through two of the loops, which made a lovely way to secure the bow!

The stamp are all ones you can get for Free Stamp Sets during Sale-A-Bration but you are going to have to hurry. Sale-A-Bration finishes in just 10 days. These free stamp sets are wonderful and I am sure you are not going to want to miss out. You can read all about Sale-A-Bration here. You can choose one of the four free sets for every £45 you spend on product from the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue between now and the end of the month so email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk today with your order.

Belated Birthday

Last week one of my wonderful team celebrated her birthday. This caught be a bit by surprise as I was convinced her birthday was in March – whoops – very bad Stampin’ Up! Mummy behaviour.

Here is the card I made and sent as soon as I found out.

The main image on the card is from the Just Believe Stamp Set – we got this free at Convention last November. I love being a demonstrator, free stamp sets, wonderful friends and making money doing something I love. It has to be the best job in the world. You can find out more about joining Stampin’ Up! here – I can highly recommend it and there is a special offer on between now and the end of the month! Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to find out more.

I have used shimmer white cardstock for this card to give it a pretty and subtle sparkly sheen. The greetings are from two of the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Sets, Punch Bunch for the centre of the large flower and I have used So Happy for You as the background. Find out how to get these two stamp sets here.

Butterfly Thank Yous

One of my favourite kinds of card to send are thank you cards. I think most people love to get something in the post that is not a bill and if it’s something thanking I think its even nicer – lets face it we all want to feel appreciated!

This batch of cards was inspired by some lovely flowers a friend gave me at our recent team training event. The beautiful yellow roses certainly made me feel special and very appreciated!

I think that yellow is a very beautiful colour but I am never quite sure how to get it to look right on my cards so I reached for my trusty colour coach - do you have one of these yet – if not you really need one! Email me and be sure to add it to your order! The colour coach suggested So Saffron, Soft Suede and Riding Hood Red.

Here is what I came up with.

Don’t those colours look great together? The stamp sets are Thank You Kindly and the free Bliss Sale-a-Bration set.

Thank you for visiting today

Back to Basics

I like to set myself little challenges from time to time and last night I decided to see if I could make a couple of cards with just the card base, ink and some stamps. That’s right, no pretty papers, no ribbons, no embellishments – just the card, the ink and some stamps.

Firstly there are the three wise owls. The idea for this card came from a lovely bench I discovered when I went for a walk on Sunday. I visited the Tree Cathedral near Wipsnade and in one of the chapels there is a bench with two owls carved from wood on either end. I was a lovely place to just sit and think for a while. For the card I added a third owl.

Next I reached for the wonderful Bliss Stamp Set – I am so excited about Sunday when I will be spending the whole day playing with this set (details here). I have taken the flourish image and inked it in Baja Breeze and then rolled the edges in Certainly Celery before stamping it. I then added three embossed lines at the bottom of the card using my paper trimmer and a bone folder.

I actually really enjoyed this challenge and think I will be doing that again! Once I got over the shock of not using pretty paper, ribbons and all the other pretty things I love!  It was good to revisit how beautiful these stamps are and to just add some ink.

All the stamps I have used for these two cards could be yours for Free – yes you read that right! Between now and the end of February, when you place an order for £45 in the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue you can choose one of the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Sets for Free. Spend £90 and you can have two etc. You can see the four sets you can choose between here. I love Sale-a-Bration, its definitely the best promotion of the year and you will want to place your order with me as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out! Email your order to bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Happy Valentine's Day

St Valentine’s Day – a chance to show people we love them. Now I think this is something we should do al lot more often than once a year, but it’s also good to have something that makes us stop and remember to tell people that we care about them.

I hope you all know how much I appreciate you taking the time to come and visit – I am flattered that you do so and love coming up with new projects to share with you all. Thank you.

Today I am going to share the card I have made for my sweetheart.

It has been decorated using the Love You Much Stamp Set. It uses Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. I have also used a flower brad and a rhinestone.

This card has a little surprise on the inside.

A pop out heart with three little heart shaped cards inside. The pop out heart was made the same way as the pouches you can see here and here.

The little heart shaped cards were made using our large heart punch. I folded the card in half and then lined the fold just inside the punched shape. The Stampin’ Up! Punches are fantastic and it cut through the two layers beautifully.

I hope you have a wonderful day and that someone is helping you feel extra special.

Birthday Cupcakes

Birthdays and cake just go together! Today I am going to share a card I made for a friend’s birthday. I am pleased to say he loved it.

I have used the wonderful Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. The cakes were paper pieced and decorated with Rhinestone Brads and Pearls.

Hmmm makes me want cake – if only I could bake!  I guess I had better craft instead ...

Scrapbook Club

I had a brilliant time at Scrapbook Club last night – thank you ladies! We chatted, we laughed, we drank coffee and of course we scrapped!

Each month we do one taught lay out which and then have time to create another using the kit. I provide samples which people can work from if they like or they can do their own thing. We had decided this month we would explore ways of using ribbon in our scrapbooks so for our taught page we made a variation of the pages I showed you yesterday.

As well as the ribbon ruffle, we used ribbon to create a tag to help us pull out our journaling card and to hang embellishments from.

We also made a swirled ribbon rose for the centre of one of our flowers.

In the end everyone decided their second lay out would be a copy of one of my inspiration pages, it uses stamping and I bet you can guess which free stamp set I used! You will have to come back tomorrow to see if you are right!

Our next Scrapbook Club night is on 10 March, and everyone is welcome to join us. We have a wide range of experience and together have a lot of fun. If you would like to join the Scrapbook Club but cant join the meetings you can become a long distance member and as well as the monthly kit you will pictures of all the inspiration pictures, cutting diagrams and instructions for the techniques we have used. Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk for more details.

Sunday's Scrapbook Project

At our team day last Sunday one of the project’s I taught was a Scrapbook Page. I am loving Scrapbooking at the moment and it was lovely to be able to share this with everyone.

Our theme for this meeting was new beginnings so I decided to do a wedding page. I wanted to show a design that would work with either landscape or portrait pictures. A couple of years ago we went to two weddings within two weeks, both grooms were called Dave so I chose a picture from each of the weddings and these were the results.

The flowers were made by punching out circles, cutting to the middle of each and then overlapping the two sides to make a cone shape. The more paper you overlap the deeper the cone will be. I added buttons and an inner layer to some of them.

To use as little paper as possible so I had more left for other projects I punched the circles from areas of the papers that were then covered up with the next layer. These papers are the beautiful Sweet and Sour Speciality Papers. I love the embossed finish on them, it’s just stunning even if it’s tricky to photograph.

Tonight it’s this months meeting of the scrapbook club – I am really looking forward to it, if you can’t be there but would like to join us please just get in touch, bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk each month’s kit along with inspiration lay outs is available by post.

Missing ...

One of the lovely ladies who usually comes to our team training days was unfortunately unable to join us this time as her mother is very ill. I wanted to make sure she knew we missed her and that she is in all our thoughts so I made a card for all of us who were there to sign. I hope by now she has got it so it should be OK to post it here.

I made the card using the wonderful Free Bliss Sale-a-Bration Stamp set. The card is rather bigger than those I usually make (its A5) and so I wanted a stamp set which did not look lost on such a big space. I have used the Rock and Roll technique to colour the stamps and inked the edges of the card. The colours I have used are Marina Mist, Perefect Plum, Pretty in Pink and Elegant Eggplant. Of course there had to be Rhinestones too!

I even decorated the inside of the card.

There are many things I love about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator –probably the most important to me is the wonderful people I have met and the friendships I treasure. Its wonderful to be part of such a supportive, inspiring and encouraging group.

Add to that being able to lean new techniques, the chance to share what I love doing and the inspiration that I get from everyone and its already sounding fantastic. Then you also have to consider that the products I work with are fantastic and so very versatile and I even make money while having all this fun! What better job could there be? If you would like to find out more about joining my team, experiencing these amazing friendships, being part of the fun we all have and sharing what you love check out this link or contact bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and we can arrange to chat.

Sunday's Card to Swap

Do you remember on Sunday I showed you glimpse inside my car before I unpacked it for our team day? Well those of you who looked closely will have noticed you can see two projects and I am going to share one of them with you today and later this week.

This is the card you could just see at the front of the picture.

One of the things we do when we get together is make cards to swap with each other – these swaps are a constant source of inspiration to me and I love seeing what everyone has come up with. My card was made using a technique called the Baby Wipe Technique – if you would like to find out how to do this and live locally contact me to arrange a party and I will come and show you and your friends. If we can get your party arranged before the end of this month don’t forget you and your guests will be able to get the free Stamp Sets available as part of Sale-a-Bration. You can find the details here. Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to book your party now.

If you live further afield you don’t have to miss out – email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to find out how!

Super Sunday Fun

What a fantastic day we had yesterday! I came home feeling very lucky to have spent a whole day with 50 people who all share my love of Stamping. I also feel very privileged that so many of my team and fellow demonstrators want to come and spend a day full of business tips, crafting, prizes and laughter with us. Thank you to everyone who came, you make the preparation more than worth it.

We asked three of the people who were coming to each provide a demo booth for us. These give us all inspiration and tips about the products and I have a head buzzing with ideas. I always take my camera along and mean to take more pictures, but the demo booths were so popular this time that I would just have got pictures of the back of people’s heads! I can show you some of what the clever ladies were demonstrating.

Becki showed us lots of very clever cards which had moving elements – so clever and so fun

Caroline showed us lots of clever things with chipboard including this cute door hanger

Anne showed us lots of very inspiring projects using a Stamp-a-ma-jig – and totally made me want to go and get mine out!

Here is one more of Anne’s projects, but I think it should be us that were thanking Anne!

One of the projects we all did was to make a necklace. Stampin’ Up! buttons are beautiful and button jewellery is not a new idea so it was only a matter of time before the two got put together! When Monica and I were talking about projects for this training day we decided we wanted to make something for people to wear and when I came across this picture I just knew what I wanted to make.

Those of you who know me will know I love to wear turquoise and razzleberry, sometimes together, sometimes not so choosing buttons was easy for me!   I even added a matching ring!

I was thrilled that Monica liked it too and wanted it to be one of the projects we taught - yesterday we used the subtle collection of buttons and pearls. I loved seeing the combinations people came up with and I really wish I had photos of them to show you!

Tomorrow I will share another of our projects with you
