Scrapbook Saturday - Make the most of photo off cuts!

Today I am going to share a page I made for my album about the fantastic holiday we had in the Maldives a few years ago. It really is an amazing place and the colours and seascapes are just incredible. For someone who loves the sea and who loves turquoise blues as much as I do it is pure paradise!

This holiday was before I owned my ‘big’ camera and all the photos were taken on my little point and shoot which meant even at it’s maximum zoom there were some things that I just could not get near enough to take a good photo. This Heron was one of them. He seemed to spend all day just off the island fishing in the plentiful shallows unflustered by all the humans splashing around.

I decided to use a simple grid lay out for this page so the small focal part of the photo would not be overwhelmed.

When I came to trim the photo down to scrap it I could not bear to throw away the pretty off cuts from the photo so I have used them as an additional patterned paper.
Using Photo Off Cuts as Patterned Paper
The non photo patterned papers I have used are from the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper Pack which is only available until the end of the month.
