Before I share a simple way to position your Big Shot Dies to cut exactly where you want to cut, I wanted to remind you that Sale-a-Bration finishes tomorrow so if you have not placed your qualifying order yet email it to bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk NOW!
Recently I wanted to use my Big Shot Circles Die to cut out an image I had coloured. Due to the design of the dies it is not easy to know where its going to cut.
To position my image so it cut exactly where I wanted I taped a piece of card over the top of my die, fixing it with tape along one side. Next I ran the die, with the card attached through the Big Shot.
Then to position my image I slipped it under the cut card 'windows' I had created. I was then able to move it around until it was exactly where I wanted, before running it through the Big Shot Again for a perfectly cut out image.
This technique would work well for any of the Big Shot Dies and is great fir cutting out shaped photos for scrapbooking as well as images for cards.
I hope you have found today's tip useful
Happy Stampin
