Find Out About Friday - 10 Olympic Craft Ideas

Tonight is the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics, and what should be a very exciting few weeks!  I have several friends involved tonight and can't wait to see everything and to hear their stories.  So for this week's Find Out About Friday I thought I would share my list of 10 crafty ways to celebrate the Olympics!

  1. Make a card inspired by the Olympic Rings - you may remember this Olympic Ring Card I shared with you a little while ago
  2. Make some bunting to decorate your home
  3. What signs of the Olympics can you see around you?  Take photos and create a scrapbook page about them
  4. What are you most looking forward to about the Olympics? Make a mini book to remember them
  5. Make something inspired by the Colours of the Olympic Rings
  6. Have your own 'Garden Olympics' with fun games for everyone.  Make the medals and certificates for everyone and don't forget to take lots of photos!  Olympic Ring Hoopla anyone?
  7. Make a flag to wave in support of your favourite athletes
  8. Design your own London 2012 logo - this would also be a fun thing to do with the kids
  9. Copy down your favourite Olympic Headlines each day and make a mini book to keep them in
  10. Make Olympic themed food to eat while watching - how about Pop Corn or other snacks in an Olympic Torch inspired container or decorated cupcakes!
