Setting Sail - A Card Made with the Stampin' Up! UK Stamp Set Work of Art

OK I admit it - I am a little but addicted to Stampin' Up! UK's new stamp set Work of Art!  The new catalogue is packed with lots and lots of lovely things, including many delicious stamp sets, but I keep having ideas for things I want to do with this one!  So as you can imagine I had a lot of fun designing cards for a recent card making class using it.  Today I am going to share one of the projects we made, and it is one which shows one of many ways you can combine these beautiful abstract brush shapes to make a picture.
Setting Sail - using the Stampin' Up! UK Stamp Set Work of Art to make a fast and fun card

The boat was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar, and its sail is Blackberry Bliss.  To get a slightly lighter shade we inked our stamp and then stamped on our grid paper before stamping on our project.  The sea was stamped with Lost Lagoon.  The stamped image was then mounted on a layer of Blackberry Bliss card which had been embossed using the new Zig Zag Embossing Folder.  The card base is Lost Lagoon.

This card was fast and fun to make and the ladies who came to class loved it.  I hope you do too.  The Work of Art Card Class is still available by post and if you would like more details email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk
