Find Out About Friday - Tutorial for 3 Fun Things You Can Do with the New Bow Builder Punch From Stampin' Up!

I suspect I am not alone in being in love with the new Bow Builder Punch from Stampin' Up! but just in case it has not made it to your 'I must have that' list yet I thought for this week's Find Out About Friday I would share 3 fun things you can do with it.

So let's take a more detailed look at how each of these are made.  Each time you punch with the Bow Builder Punch this is what you get.

Now I am pretty sure that there are some fun things you can do with these shapes without even making a bow, so be ready for more ideas another time, but for today we are going to focus on bows.

Here is the first bow you can make.  You will need to punch the Bow Builder Punch out twice.  I have found that using either plain card or paper with a small pattern works best.

Once you have your pieces curl the pieces that are going to form the loops of your bow by gently pulling them along your paper folder and stick the two straight edges together.  I have found it easiest to use glue dots.  Next stick the two loops together, again using a glue dot, add the two tails and finally wrap the center piece around the bow.

And here is a card featuring some of these bows.

For the second bow you can make you are gain going to need to punch out twice with the Bow Builder Punch.  You are then going to assemble the pieces like this.  For this bow make your two loops and stick them together then this time wrap the center piece around them before adding the two tails.

For our third and final bow for today you are going to need to punch the Bow Builder Punch six times.  You are also going to need to punch out two circles - I used the 3/4 inch circle punch

Form all six loops as before and attach them to one of the circles.  I found it easiest to put one pair opposite each other and then to fill in the gaps.  Attach the tails to the bottom of the circle so they are in between each of the loops  Finally attach the second circle to the top of the bow using a dimensional foam pad so that it sits beautifully level without squashing your bow
