How did it get to be Friday already! I was convinced that yesterday was Wednesday but already it is time for another Find Out About Friday :-) Today I thought I would share an easy way to colour the gorgeous Irresistably Yours Papers. These pretty papers are white with white embossed patterns on. There are 6 wonderful designs, including some geometrical and some floral.
While these papers are very pretty just as they are, adding some colour can make them really special, be that just a subtle bit of colour round the edge or be that all over colour.
There are lots of ways you can add that colour, with a brayer, by spritzing or by either using a sponge or a dauber. All are brilliant but personally I like what ever I am going to do to be quick and easy - and since what I tend to use is what ever is closest at hand most often I will add colour with a sponge or a dauber.
It is very simple to do - just take your sponge or dauber and gently tap it on your ink pad, then starting just off your piece of Irresistibly Yours Paper gently swirl it over your paper. Start with just a little ink as you can always add more to add more colour. For these samples I have used Tempting Turquoise on one end and Strawberry Slush the other, fading each colour as I went towards the middle by using less ink. I love the effect you get where the two mix - and no two will ever be quite the same!
When you have added all the ink you want to gently rub the paper with a tissue to remove any ink that may be resting on the embossed sections. This will make them really white again and the whole effect look beautiful.
I am sure once you have played with the Irresistably Yours Papers you will love them as much as I do. They are only available until the end of March and you can get a pack of 12 sheets free with every £45 you spend before post and packing. Click here to shop now.
