Working Out Banner Lengths With The Stampin' Up! Triple Banner Punch

Banners are very fashionable in paper crafting right now and I have to say I am a fan.  They are a great way to add a splash of colour or contrast to your cards and they are fantastic as a way to tie your focal point into the rest of your card.

While they are quite simple in shape to cut but it is surprisingly hard to cut them evenly - and here is the good news - with the Stampin' Up! Triple Banner Punch it just got a whole lot easier!

With this punch you can cut perfect single or double ended banners that are either 1, 1.5 or 2 inches wide and what ever length you want.

Because of the way the punch works you need to cut the piece of Patterned Paper or Card that you want to punch a bit longer than you want your finished banner.  As you can see from the picture below the amount your banner is shortened by depends on how wide it is.
And here is a handy table to help you work out how much longer than your finished banner to cut.
Have fun adding banners to your projects!
