Last weekend I had a bit of a scrap attach and ended up with lots of completed pages – today I am going to share with you the one that I made first!
When I was walking to the Post Office a couple of days before I suddenly hit by the most wonderful smell of roses – unexpected and totally lovely. I did not have my camera with me but took a quick picture of these pretty pink roses on my phone. Scrapbooking does not have to be all about the big events, it can be about the everyday as well and I knew I wanted to make a page about that moment.
Now on my phone I have a programme called Instagram which allows you to manipulate your photos and apply filters to them to get beautiful old style pictures. I love playing around with it and chose a variety of vintage filters for these photos. The only downside of the programme is the photos don’t look good if you print them out too big, so the photos are just 3 inches square.
I decided to carry the vintage theme into the page I made.
The background wood grain effect was created the same way as I showed you here. I then inked the edges of everything! The papers are from Botanical Gazette and the Pink is Blushing Bride from the In Colour Paper Stack.
I then decided to go on and make a collection of pages about those every day moments – but more of that another time!
Happy Stampin’
PS Don’t forget you only have this weekend to enter for the blog candy here ... make sure you have entered!
