Enjoying the Word Bubble Framelits

Sometimes on a Wednesday we all need a bit of a cheer up and so today I am going to show you a fun card made with the Word Bubble Framelits!  I had a lot of fun making this card so when it came to choosing the sentiment there was only one that I could choose - the gorgeous Enjoy sentiment from the Simply Celebrate Stamp Set

The Word Bubble Framelits were cut from some Crumb Cake Card and then mounted onto a sheet of paper from the delightful Fresh Prints Paper Stack.

Did you know if you purchase all of the highlighted items used to make this card you would qualify for a free Sale-a-Bration product? Check them out here.  Wouldn't that be something to enjoy this Wednesday!

You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray

The weather recently has been horrid - so wet and miserable.  Luckily I have not been affected by flooding like so many people have, my heart goes out to them.  The weather did however encourage me take a second look at this lovely sentiment from the See Ya Later Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set.  You make me happy when skies are gray - something so appropriate for a lot of people I am fortunate enough to call my friends who have helped me endure my personal rain storms in recent months.

I used the Banner Framelits to cut out the sentiment which had been stamped in Coastal Cabana.  I then shaded the banner to make some extra clouds while still leaving a boarder using the technique I shared with you here.  The cute little flower is from the lovely Petite Petals Stamp Set which comes with a matching punch for added ease of use.  I have popped a left over sequin from the Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit in the midde and topped it with a Beruda Bay Candy Dot.  The flower sits on some of the scrummy Gold Baker Twine and the Patterned Paper is from the lovely Fresh Prints Paper Stack and is mounted on a coordinating Baked Brown Sugar layer.

If you would like to send a card like this to someone who has brightened your world what better week to do it than Valentine's Week.  You can earn the See Ya Later Stamp Set for Free as part of this year's Sale-a-Bration - what is not to love about Free Stamps that help you tell people they matter to you!  You can find all the details here.

Make a Wish Perfect Pennant Banner Card

Today I have another card featuring the wonderful Perfect Pennant Stamp Set.  I love the sentiments on this Stamp Set and am already finding myself reaching for it on all sorts of occasions.

For today's card I have created a background using the wonderful Hardwood Stamp.  The banners were all cut with the Banner Framelit Dies.  The Elegant Eggplant one was then embossed using the Arrows Textured Embossing Folder.  The gorgeous Coastal Cabana Spotted paper is from the delightful Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Pack.  I coloured my stamp using my Stampin' Write In Colour Markers, and then restamped in Elegant Eggplant and the 'a' punched out and added with a foam dimensional pad.  Some of the gorgeous Gold Baker Twine adds a sparkly touch

What would you wish for today?

Scrapbook Saturday Hoe Down Mini Memories Simply Created Album

I think I am in love..., with the wonderful Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit!  What is more, I think if you have a few photos that you want to put into an album I think you will find yourself falling in love with it too!

Here is the album I put together, featuring some of the photos from the wonderful last night celebration at last year's Stampin' Up! Trip to Utah.

We had so much fun on the Ranch, everything was so beautiful and

then there was the Hoe Down - such fun!

When I got to the end of the album I realised there were a whole set of accessories I had not used - they had been hiding under the back cover - you can see them here and of course could include them in your album!

Word Bubble Thank You Card

I have another Happy Mail card to share with you today - this one a thank you card featuring the fab new Word Bubble Framelits.

To make this card I cut a number of word bubbles and added some shading using the techniques I shared in this tutorial.  I stamped the Thank You Greeting from the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set on one and then arranged them on a matching Crumb Cake base.  This was mounted on a layer of Tempting Turquoise and a Crumb Cake Base.

This card was a lot of fun to make and if you would like to know more about making cards like this please email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and let's talk

The Feeling Crafty Happy Mail Challenge

Yesterday I mentioned that the card I shared would be ideal as a Happy Mail Card and promptly got a couple of emails asking what Happy Mail is so today I thought I would share a little more about the Feeling Crafty Happy Mail Challenge.

Getting a card in the post and knowing someone cared enough to send it and is thinking of you always brings a smile and that is what Happy Mail is all about - sending some love through the post.  The Feeling Crafty Happy Mail Challenge is all about creating more of those moments.  Each week I challenge myself to send at least 3 pieces of Happy Mail.  I enjoy making the cards even more knowing they are mostly 'just because' cards.

The Feeling Crafty Happy Mail Challenge has been running for well over a year now and I hope that it brings a lot of joy to everyone who takes part and who receives some Happy Mail.  Why don't you join us?

Happy Mail Card - Life Does Not Have To Be Perfect To Be Wonderful

I just love the sentiment on this stamp from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set - Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.  How true!  That said I think this stamp set gets pretty close and sentiments like this are idea to send on Happy Mail Cards.

Here I have teamed it with the matching Framelits. The other Pennants are cut from the delightful papers in the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack - another practically perfect product (if I can say that without sounding like Mary Poppins!)  The wonderful distressed dotty paper in the background is also from this stack.  The card is finished off with some of the wonderful ruffled Coastal Cabana Ribbon.

If you were to purchase the Stamps with matching Framelits, the Fresh Prints Paper Stack and the Coastal Cabanna Ribbon I used on this card you would qualify for a free Sale-a-Bration Choice - one of the exclusive products you see here can be added to your order at no extra cost!  Brilliant, so why not order these practically perfect products now!
