Happy Anniversary

This is rapidly turning into a week of remembering great things that have happened in recent July’s as today I am sharing a wedding anniversary card with you. A couple of July’s ago two very good friends of ours got married. It was a beautiful day on so many levels, a beautiful service (even if I had to do a reading!), fantastic weather and a wonderful celebration.

Here is the card. I have used Almost Amethyst, Elegant Eggplant, some of the wonderful Bridesmaids papers and some Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon. The image is from the Level 2 Hostess Set All for Friends and the sentiment is from the Mr & Mrs stamp set.

And here is to many more happy years for our wonderful friends.

I have something exciting planned for you for Sunday so please be sure to come and visit again then!

More Baby Cards

Are you ready for another baby post? Well I guess its only kind of a baby post, but that depends on when you think a baby stops being a baby!  Last year my partner became a Grandfather and last month his Granddaughter turned one. It is amazing how much she has grown and is even uttering her first words and almost walking.

For her birthday we had a big family picnic, our family as well as the baby’s fathers family. Chloe was very spoilt so I made lots of thank you cards for her Mum to give people to say thank you. When Chloe was born I made photo cards with her picture in the middle for everyone, so I did the same with a photo taken on her first birthday.

The card is Pretty in Pink and the papers are from the Tea Party Designer Series Paper Pack. The stamps are from Vintage Vogue and Live Your Dreams.

Thank you for stopping by today

Congratulations

Thank you for all the wonderful emails you have been sending about the Christmas Planner and the two pocket albums in my previous posts. I am both flattered and humbled by your comments. I think I have sent the instructions to everyone who has asked, so if you don’t have your copy yet please would you email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk. I gather from some of your messages that the comments section here has not been working – don’t you just love technology.

Today I thought I would share two cards I made for two very special ladies. I am fortunate to have some very wonderful people in my Stampin’ Up! Team. One of these cards went to the lovely Tracey who has just joined the team to congratulate her on her new business, it accompanied her welcome gift and some tools that will help her in her new adventure. She has already made a great start and I am excited about how she is doing already.

The second card was for one of my wonderful coaches. She has worked really hard and in under three months she has taken her business from a standing start through some major milestones and she achieved a Stampin’ Up! promotion well ahead of her personal goals. I am so proud of what she has achieved and have enjoyed being part of her journey. If you would like to find out more about how Stampin’ 2 Success can help your business email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Becoming a demo is one of the best decisions I have made and if you are in the UK and would like to find out more about how it could work for you let me know and we can arrange a no obligation chat.

I look forward to hearing from you.  Now I have some more congratulations cards to make for the team which I will share with you another time!

Baby Brag Book

Do you remember that cute little lady whose birth announcements I showed you last week? Well when I took them to her Mum I also took a little gift. Now I know all parents love to share photos of their little one and to have photos of them while they are apart so I made her a little brag book.

It is made the same way as this year’s Christmas Planner which you can find here.  I used papers from the appropriately named Sweet Pea Paper Stack for this project.

If you would like instructions on how to make this project please email me and I will send them to you as soon as possible

Christmas Planner for 2010

It seems to be becoming a bit of a tradition around here that I share a Christmas Planner with you all and offer you the instructions on how to make your own. This year I also plan to actually use my planner and make sure I am organised for the festive season.

This year’s planner also makes an adorable album (you can see a non Christmas example here in the previous post). It’s a lot of fun to make and very easy to carry around with you.

The planner has space for at least 8 note cards which can be to do lists, Christmas Card Lists, Wish Lists or any other lists you want. It also has two pockets which close to ensure things stay put which would be suitable for receipts or magazine clippings. The planner also has two secret pockets in which you can keep list of receipts you don’t want people to find, so ideal for making sure there are some real surprises on Christmas morning!

The planner expands as you fill it and has a fully adjustable pen loop. This planner is constructed from Stampin’ Up! envelopes and if you need more pages you would just add extra envelopes.  I have decorated mine using elements from the lovely Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit.

If you would like the instructions to make this planner please email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and I will email them to you as soon as they are finished.

I am sorry for this frighteningly early mention of the C word!

Memories of Monaco

Last week I showed you the outside of the two albums I made for two of my wonderful friends who went on the Monaco Incentive Trip with Stampin’ Up! Since we were doing a very similar project at team training at the weekend (*waves* hello to all the wonderful people who were there) I said I would show you the inside this week, so are you ready to sit back and dream of free sunny holidays?

The album is constructed from envelopes, folded in half and stuck back to back. The pages were then decorated with papers from the beautiful Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper Pack – I love the combination of turquoise and red and know it is a favourite of both the friends these albums are for.

The papers were stamped with an assortment of stamps in either Real Red or Tempting Turquoise.

The inserts for each page were also stamped with the same stamps.

Check back in a couple of days to see the version of this project we made on Sunday. A full tutorial will also be available soon too.

I hope you like the album and if you would like to find out more about how you can earn yourself an all expenses paid holiday as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator please let me know (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) and we can arrange to talk.

More Birth Announcements

In my last post I shared some of the birth announcements I made for my friend’s baby, Bethany. Today I am going to share some variations on the theme. When Bethany’s Mum asked me to design her birth announcement cards I made three samples which met her brief for her to choose between. These are the two she did not choose.

Again they feature Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose card, a flutter of Butterflies and some Whisper White Taffeta. One also includes a row of prams from the gorgeous Queue Up Stamp Set. I love that stamp set and its one you can only earn by hosting a Stampin’ Up! Party – so if you want it ask me how!

Now you have seen all 3 birth announcements which would you have chosen?

Bethany's Birth Announcements

When one of my customers gave birth to a lovely daughter she knew she wanted some hand made birth announcements. She also knew she would not have time to make them! So she asked me to make them for her. They sent me a photo of Baby Bethany and I put some designs together for them. This is the one they chose, and this is a small selection of the 50 I made for them.

The cards are made from Pretty in Pink card and feature the photo, mounted on some Regal Rose card with some Whisper White Taffeta ribbon tied on in. Butterflies, from the Live Your Dreams Stamp Set stamped in Regal Rose, flutter across the cards.

Check back on Sunday to see the designs that we did not use!

Moncao Mini Book

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I earn money doing something I love and I have the chance to earn lots of rewards from Stampin’ Up! One of those is the annual incentive trip. While I did not make the first one to Monaco two very special friends did and I had to make them something special to take with them!

These cards and mini books were a lot of fun to make and I know their recipients loved them. We are going to make a similar project at Team Training on Sunday so since I don’t want to spoil the surprise for those who are going I am not going to show you any more of them today – you will have to check back next week to see the insides!

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Demonstrator please get in touch – email me at bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and we can arrange a convenient time to talk.

In my last post I mentioned that several of my friends had given birth recently. Would you like to see the card I made for one of them?

This card was made using one of the Carousel Notes in Pretty in Pink. A small section was cut out of the top to make the shape of a pram. I then attached a piece of card at the back so the whole pram will stand up and to give me a space to write on. The pram was decorated with the floral motive from the Beautiful Thing Stamp Set.

The blooms that are attached to the sentiment are from the wonderful Pretties Kit – I coloured them with my Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped on the largest one with Soft Suede and using the same stamp as I used to decorate the pram. The Soft Suede colour looks lovely with the Pretty in Pink. The wheels were punched from scraps of card and then some rhinestone brads finish the whole thing off.

I have several more new babies cards on my to make list and I am looking forward to making them.

With Sympathy

I love to make cards but there is one type of card that I frequently struggle to make. Sympathy cards. I don’t know about you but when I make a card I often start by thinking about the person it is for so when it comes to Sympathy Cards I find myself remembering the person and getting lost in memories or feeling hugely sad for the person who has suffered the loss. Then I find my mojo is well and truly missing.

Unfortunately recently I have needed to make rather a lot of Sympathy Cards. Here are a couple, I have used the Close as A Memory Stamp Set, mixed with Rich Razzleberry and then kept the design really simple.

I love how elegant this colour looks when mixed with either Whisper White or Very Vanilla. The ribbon on both cards is the Polka Dot Grosgrain, but for the card made with the Very Vanilla I have just turned it over for a different look.

All these losses have been balanced to an extent by the lovely news of some new babies coming into the world. Now those cards are more fun to make!

Team Technique Time!

Today I am going to share a card we made at my recent team training meeting. I really enjoy these get togethers. Each month we get together, swap ideas & cards, do some training and of course do some stamping! At each meeting we try a new technique and this time we tried shadow stamping.

Here is the card we made using this technique.

Every three months we get together for a whole day, I am really looking forward to the next one – its on 18th July in Peterborough and everyone is welcome. The business training section of the day will be a lot of fun and the projects we have lined up for everyone to make are adorable, so even if you are not a demo, if you are free why not join us for a day of crafting and chatter. Please email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk for more details.

Wall Hanging Mini Class

For a while I have been looking at a particular spot on my bedroom wall thinking I really need to find something pretty to display there. Do you have a space in your home that is just like that - needing something special to make it look just wonderful?

I decided to make a wall hanging and here is what I came up with.

Would you like to make something similar? Well I have decided to offer this project as a mini class. As well as being great for those spots round the house that need a lift, it is ideal to make as a gift (if you can bear to part with it).

To take this mini class you will need to get a group of 5 or more people together and, if you live within a hour’s drive, I will bring the class to you. For those of you living further away a postal version of this class will be possible. The friends you get together do not need to be experienced crafters and don’t even have to have an interest in card making or scrapbooking (yes such people do exist!). The class project is customisable to suit the decor in your home or the home of the person you are going to be giving it to. The Mini Class will cost £5 and for anyone who spends £30 or more on Stampin’ Up! Products at the class I will refund the class fee. Get in touch today (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) to book your mini class and brighten up that bit of wall.

I look forward to hearing from you

PS: There are still spaces available on my Get Ready For Christmas Class on 31 July.  You can find the details here and if you book your place before 10th July you will get a free stamp - so dont delay, book today! Pin It
