Class Cards - the Collection

Today I am going to share the rest of the projects from one of my recent card classes – our theme was cards for men, ones my customers often tell me are the hardest to make.

Here are all the projects together

Here is a close up of the card wallet we made for the cards

And here are the three cards you have not seen in detail before.

I just wanted to remind you that you have just two days left to benefit from this month’s special offer from Stampin’ Up! You can get selected two step stampin’ sets at a whopping 20% off. Some of the cards in this class featured stamps that are on offer and if you have been considering ordering these stamps don’t delay any longer and email me your order! Lovely Tree for You

Where I used to live there were some wonderful oak trees, and I loved to go and walk along the footpaths near them. When I first saw Stampin’ Up!’s Lovely as a Tree stamp set I was reminded of them. Today’s card reminds me of those beautiful trees in Summer.

I stamped the tree in Chocolate Chip, and then have coloured it using Old Olive. The background paper is from Autumn Meadows paper pack and it has been stamped with the oak leaves from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set.

The card was then finished off using the lovely Tiny Tags Stamp Set and matching punch. I love these stamps and they are finding their way onto lots of cards that I make! What is even better is that they are currently available with 20% off, let me know if you would like me to order you a set.

Truck full of Pressies!

Today I have another card from a recent card class for you and again it features a stamp set which is currently available at a 20% discount. You can find details of the offer here and if you would like to order any of the wonderful stamp sets that are on offer please email me (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) as soon as possible.

For this card I have used the wonderful Loads of Love Stamp Set – this was one of the first Stampin’ Up! Stamp Sets I owned and I still love it! Its wonderful for colouring or for paper piecing and it is wonderfully flexible. The set comes with an assortment of things to go in the truck which can also be used on their own.

Here I have matched the truck with the pile of pressies from the Loads of Love Accessories set. The truck was stamped in Real Red and then the colour has been pulled into the image using a blender pen to give a lovely soft colouration.  The presents are stamped and coloured in More Mustard.  The papers are from the lovely Autumn Meadows Paper Pack.

Blue Bird!

This week I am going to feature cards from some recent card classes. Today’s card features one of the stamp sets that is on special offer this month, the lovely Bird on a Branch Stamp Set.

The bird has been stamped in my favourite Taken with Teal on a Chocolate Chip branch with More Mustard spots in the background.

The background has been made by stamping En Francais in Chocolate Chip on some photocopy paper. I then scrunched the paper up, good and satisfying after a long day! Once I had unscrunched it I swiped various ink pads over the surface, starting with Cameo Coral, then Creamy Caramel, Soft Suade and finally Chocolate Chip.

I hope you like and if you would like to get this stamp set while it is at 20% off send me an email (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) as soon as possible.

Birthday Butterflies

Wow – I love how busy August is! So much fun and so little month!

Firstly I want to say a big hello to everyone who came to see us at Stamperama in Stevenage on Sunday. Thank you for coming and saying hello, I hope you enjoyed doing the make and take and liked the display we had for you. I had a brilliant time and can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday than in the company of people who love to stamp! I also want to thank two of my Stampin’ Superstars, Karen & Becki and Becki’s hubby Alan for all their help – they were all brilliant and it would not have been the same without you all.

For those of you who were not there here is a quick peek at the project we made – another cute pocket calendar holder.  This one features two of the sets which are on special offer this month (details here), Tiny Tags and Greenhouse Garden.

Now the other thing that has been keeping me busy recently is birthdays – we are not quite at mine yet so if you want instructions for this project you still have a little time to sign up for my newsletter using the box on the right and get them!

Today I am going to share one of the many birthday cards I have sent to friends this month.

This card features papers from the wonderful Cottage Wall Designer Series Pack, so pretty and only available while stocks last so if you need to add some to your collection please let me know as soon as possible. For this card I have matched it with Orchid Opulence Card, with a little Rich Razleberry and Old Olive Satin Ribbon. The butterflies are stamped onto Bride Designer Series Paper and then punched out with the coordinating punch.

I hope you like it as much as the recipient did.

Thanks for stopping by

Lets Get Inky!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love being a Stampin’ Up! Demo? OK so may be quite a few times, not only do I love that I get to meet lots of wonderful people and share stamping with them, get a discount on my supplies and make some extra money, but also I love that Stampin’ Up! give us the chance to earn free product too! During June & July we had the chance to earn free ink pads and card stock in the new core colours that are being introduced in October (details here). How brilliant, getting 16 ink free by doing what we love – stamping! I cant wait for mine to get here and to get inky with them.

Five of my Stampin’ Superstars (my team) also achieved the ink pads, I am so proud of them. I sent each of them a congratulations card.

I decided to use one of the stamps that is on special offer this month, Trendy Trees . You can find all the details of the offer here.

The base card is Soft Suede, and the trees were stamped onto patterned paper from the Bella Bleu paper pack. The trees were rock and rolled with Old Olive and Almost Artichoke. I inked the edges gently in Whisper White. I had a lot of fun using this set.

The gems were made by taking the rhinestone brads to pieces.  And here is an arty angle.

If you would like to find out more about the benefits of becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator please get in touch (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) for a no obligation chat. We would love to welcome you to the Stampin’ Superstars.

Tomorrow I am going to be a Stamperama, with two of my team, so if you are there please drop in for a chat and some show special offers!

Santa Clause went to Peterborough!

Recently we had a team training day in Peterborough. I really enjoy these days, I love catching up with everyone and always wish we had had more time to chat – but there is stamping and training to be done! The hard work of getting everything ready for everyone is more than worth it – Its fantastic to hear about the successes people have had with the training we provide, so exciting!  If you want to find out about coming along to our next team day just let me know (email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk)

Now when Demo’s get together we swap cards – I love swapping and getting samples of the wonderful cards people create – it’s so inspiring. At our last meeting our theme was Christmas, you have no idea how hard it was to get festive in a heat wave! Anyway, now the sun seems to be on its holidays I thought I would share my swap card with you.

I decided I wanted to do something fun with a bit of a zing, so I used a combination of Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery and Old Olive. The stamps are from Holly Jolly Christmas, (how fab is this Santa?) and Winter Post. Santa also has a bit of sparkle – Dazzling diamonds added with the help of a glue pen.

If I show you this angle you start to get a hint of a little surprise this card has ... can you guess what it is?

Want me to show you?

OK here goes!

Yes – you untie the bow

and reveal a gift card holder!

I don’t know if its the same for you, but we know a number of people (especially teenagers) who just want money or vouchers for Christmas so I will be making quite a few more of these before the big day!

Happy Stampin’

Just a quick post today, with more crafting procrastination! I love to read and one of the things I often do is make a new bookmark for each book I read, it’s a great way to use those scraps that are just too pretty to throw away. When I lent a book to a friend I decided to make her a bookmark.

This bookmark features scraps from the scrummy Autumn Meadows Papers (don’t forget they are only available until September so if you want some order them before its too late!).  I have also used Circle Circus to decorate the other side.

My need to procrastinate satisfied I went on to make lots of cards so check back in a couple of days to see some of them!

Who Said That?

Today I am going to share something a little different with you. I recently came across a quote that seemed to be just what I needed to read and found myself scribbling it down on the corner of the grid paper on my desk. A couple of days later I was sat at my desk trying to decide where to start with me to do list when I was struck by the idea of making a book to keep the quotes in. In a moment of crafting procrastination I decided to make it there and then!

I wanted to make something which is easy to flick through and which could display quotes on my desk. This is what I came up with, displayed, as you can see, on my desk.

The pages are made from Kraft Card and are decorated with paper from the Autumn Meadows Pack. I love these papers! I stamped the front using different images from the Circle Circus Stamp Set.

I have made plenty of spare pages but here are a couple showing some of my favourite quotes.

What quotes inspire you?

Happy Stampin!

Watch the Birdie!

Wow what a fun week I have been having so far! I have spent the last couple of days in a field, meeting and stamping with some amazing people. A special hello if you are one of those lovely ladies, welcome and please make yourself at home.

Do you want to see what we made?

The colours for the event the ladies were all attending were Pink and Blue so we used Pink Passion and Tempting Turquoise as our colours, I love how bright and fun they look together and just right for the fab bunch of people we met! The stamp sets used are Bird on a Branch and Tiny Tags both of which are on special offer from Stampin’ Up! this month – you can find the details of the offer here. Many of the ladies had never stamped before and they did a fantastic job with this fun little project.

It is such fun and such a privilege to be able to share what I love doing with people. Can you guess who the ladies were? I will leave you guessing while I tell you about this months classes.

I mentioned at the start of the month that this was going to be a special month with lots of special offers. Are you ready for another?

This one is for those who come to my Card Classes. This month we have not one but two classes. You can find the details of the classes at the bottom of this post here. This month’s regular card class is on Saturday 14th August and is called From the Desk Of.  We will be making a cute desk holder and filling it with note cards that are suitable to use whenever you need to send a quick hello. The class costs £15 to attend but can be taken for free if you purchase a specially selected class Bundle. With some help from the Special offer from Stampin’ Up! this month’s bundle represents an amazing 1/3 off the full catalogue prices as well as getting you the class for free saving you and additional £15. How much is this bundle – at the class it can be purchased for just £30, so do check out the class page to see what is included.

If you would really like to benefit from this amazing offer but can’t come to class you can order a class bundle for delivery to you along with any additional class materials, so just email me to place your order.

Also on Saturday 14th August I will be hosting one of my favourite type of classes, a Stamp it Your Way Class. This class is really more of a play date with some stamps! I love these classes as I enjoying watching everyone’s creativity with the same supplies. The details are here.

Email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk if you would like to join one or both classes.

So have you worked out who the lovely ladies I got to Stamp with on Monday and Tuesday were? They were all leaders at the Bucks 100fest Guide Camp.

Celebrating the start of August with a Blog Hop

Can you believe it’s August already? It’s a month I look forward to every year, as it’s always full of celebrations here and this August is not going to be an exception!

If you have arrived here from Carolyn’s blog as part of the Stampin’ Up! Scrapbooking Blog Hop hello and welcome. If this is your first visit please make yourself at home and I hope to see you again soon :-) And just in case you need an incentive to come back there are going to be some special offers and give aways this month ...

So what is this blog hop all about? This month Stampin’ Up! are joining in my celebrations by offering you 20% off the following Two Step Stampin’ Stamp Sets.

Two step stampin’ gives some wonderful results and is a lot of fun, if you have not tried it yet there has never been a better time! This scrapbooking blog hop aims to inspire you to use these stamp sets for scrapbooking as well as cardmaking by showing you some scrapbook pages and mini books using them. And what a talented group of scrappers the contributors to this blog hop are and I am flattered that they think my efforts are good enough to be featured :-)

I decided to make a mini book for a friend who is celebrating a very special occasion this month. She loves purples and lilacs so the choice of colours was easy and I just had to reach for one of my favourite stamp sets – the glorious Greenhouse Garden.

I love how dimensional the finished flowers are and how much fun it is to make your own patterned papers.

The main album was made from one 12x12 sheet of Almost Amethyst Textured Card and the pockets have been decorated with the patterned paper I stamped layerd onto Elegant Eggplant.

The tags that sit in each of the 8 pockets have also been decorated with the stamped paper, some coordinating ribbon and some delicious filigree brads.

For the covers I used more panels of the stamped papers and on the front added an embellishment which features two more of the sets which you can purchase at 20% off during this fantastic promotion. I am really enjoying the Bird on a Branch Stamp Set (just as well as I am going to using it with 150 ladies over the next week!) and Tiny Tags. With its coordinating punch this set is rapidly becoming a go to set and is one I think should be in everyone’s collection.  If you need to know how to add it to yours just ask!

I think its time I told you about one of the special offers that I am going to have on my blog this month ... One of the things we will be celebrating this month is my birthday and this offer is good from now until my birthday ... Everyone who signs up for my newsletter between now and my birthday will receive a tutorial on how to make this mini book and one lucky person will win prize – a stamp a ma jig, which is an indispensible tool when Two Step Stampin. If you sign up for my newsletter you will be one of the first people to hear about special offers and some offers that are only made to subscribers. You will also get free tutorials from time to time. So pop over to the shiney box on the right of this blog and make sure you sign up for my newsletter before my birthday ... You just have to guess when that is so dont leave it too long!

So are you ready to carry on with the blog hop? Well next stop is the lovely Sarah who organised us all and is an amazing scrapper so I am sure you will find her post very inspiring.

If you have any questions about two step stampin’ or any other stampin up products please just ask either in the comments or by email on bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see you here again soon
