April Showers

Well after a wonderful weekend the weather here certainly seems to be heading for more typical April weather – gone is the glorious sunshine and back are the clouds. Mind you they say April showers bring May flowers and since I love flowers it can’t all be bad!

April showers are what inspired today’s post, the third post in our Royal Wedding Red White and Blue week. Lots of people are certainly hoping that there will not be any showers on Friday!

Stampin' Up! Ornament Punch
The umbrella’s on these cards were made using the Stampin’ Up! Ornament Punch. Once I had punched out the shape I then used a 1 inch circle punch to punch out the scallops at the bottom of the umbrella. The Ornament Punch does work wonderfully with the coordinating Christmas Stamp Sets (Sorry to mention the C word so early in the year!) but it is also wonderfully versatile so you can use it all year. There are more ideas on how to use it here and here.

Stampin' Up! Ornament Punch
Today I have used Real Red, Shimmer White, Pacific Point and Bashful Blue. The sentiments are from the versatile Curly Cute stamp set.

The hearts which are raining down are from the Confetti background collection of stamps. This set is new to me and is one I earned for free – how I love being a demonstrator! The only thing better than new stamps is free new stamps and as a Demonstrator I am lucky enough to earn free stamps. And that is on top of the many other great things about being a Demonstrator. If you would like to find out about how joining my team can help you earn your stamps and stamping supplies for free email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and we can arrange to chat.
