Make a Wish

Welcome to day 4 of my Red White and Blue week to mark tomorrow’s Royal Wedding. Today I thought I would make some cards that are suitable to give to men. I admit I am one of the many people I know who find it harder to make cards to give men so I was really pleased to see several stamp sets in the Mini Catalogue that are ideal for making cards for men, including two of the individual stamps. Sail Away and Motorcycle. Today is also a Thursday so you know that means there will be some Top Note Die action in here too!

Stampin' Up! Sail Away
This first card features Sail Away (Item Number 123013 £8.95). The beautiful image has been stamped onto a layer of Whisper White cut with the Top Note Die. I have then used daubers to add a soft sky and sea like background, using Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Night of Navy. The sails were coloured with a blender pen and Real Red ink.

Stampin' Up! Motocycle
The other card features the Motorcycle Stamp (Item Number 117657) stamped onto a layer cut from the large Scallop Circle Die and then mounted onto layer of Real Red Textured Card cut with the Top Note Die. I have given it a chrome finish using my platinum shimmer paint. Looks stunning but really hard to show in a photograph!

Stampin' Up! Motorcycle
To order either or both these stamps please email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

There is still one post left in this colour themed week, and I have really enjoyed creating the projects for it, and still have lots of ideas left for another time. The question is have you enjoyed it? I would love your feedback and if you would like to see another colour themed week in the future please leave me a comment or email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to let me know.

Happy Stampin’
