Secret Garden and a technique for getting to know new stamps

I don't know about you but sometimes when I get a new stamp set, despite having loved it in the new Catalogue I get it out and then suddenly I don't know what to do with it!  I also find that can happen if I have not stamped for a while - for example after a holiday ...

Today I am going to share two cards made using a technique I use to help me get over that 'eek I don't know what to do' moment.
A technique for getting going with new stamps created this birthday card made using Secret Garden Stamps and Framelits from Stampin' Up! Check it out!
It is a very simple technique - I take a piece of card, three inks and three stamps from the set and using one colour for each stamp I just stamp until the piece of card is full.  Usually by then I am back and ready to go, but if I need a little more of a nudge I copy a design I have used before!

Today's card features the lovely Secret Garden Stamp Set.  I stamped using Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzaz.  The Wisteria Wonder layer has been embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and the greeting is from the wonderful Four You Stamp Set.  One of the things I love about the Secret Garden Stamp Set is that there is a set of Framelits, the Secret Garden Framelits, to cut them out and that is what I have used with the Wisteria Wonder Flowers which, like the greeting have been stamped in Elegant Eggplant.
