For the next few days I am going to be sharing some stories from my adventures aboard the Allure of the Seas as part of the Stampin' Up! Global Incentive Trip, I am going to save the moment by moment account, and lots of the photos I took for my scrapbooks (which no doubt I will share before too long!) and give you some edited highlights instead!
As we opened the hotel room curtains on the first morning look what we were able to see!
We are allowed to take a guest with us on the incentive trip and this year I was joined by the lovely Christine, this is us waiting to board the Allure of the Seas.
But as soon as we found our cabin the wonderful Stampin' Up! touches were evident and we were soon underway and sailing for Haiti.
To get us in the mood we had our first gathering and show - it was fantastic to catch up with some of the lovely people I met in Utah last year and to share some Stampin' Up! Style hugs. We were treated to an amazing acrobatics and diving show. How good would the background logos look as stamps!
Haiti featured in our trip in a number of ways - we visited this beautiful island
and enjoyed its stunning beaches.
But it was also the feature of our service project - we donated items for schools and communities and we raised money to build three permanent home for displaced families. We did this by walking laps of the ship - up to 10 each which was the equivalent of about 5 miles. I am pretty sure the ship has never seen so many orange T shirts circulating their fitness track at the same time!
I love that we got to be part of something bigger while enjoying our time together.
More stories tomorrow
Happy Stampin'
