Summer Lighthouse Card for Any Occasion

Now that we are well and truly into August, I don't know about you, but my thoughts seem to wander to the coast rather a lot, and that is what has inspired the card I am sharing with you today.

The beautiful Lighthouse from the High Tide Stamp Set was stamped onto Glossy White Card Stock and then I lightly spread the ink with an Auqapainter.  Once it was dry I washed on the background colours again with the Aquapainter.  The clouds were made using a Sponge Dauber and one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.

And check out the pretty punched trim.  I am loving this punch as it means I can have trim in any colour and there are so many ways to use it - I am sure you will be seeing it again and again here!

No Line Watercolour Lighthouse Card for any occasion featuring the High Tide Stamps from Stampin' Up! UK

Last Saturday while I was stamping I shared this image on my Instagram feed and was blown away by the response.

So today I thought I would share the finished card.

I decided to leave the rest of the card pretty simple to let the main image really shine (get it?  Lighthouse - shine ...)

Nighttime Lighthouse Box Frame made with Stampin' Up! UK Supplies

This weekend I spent a wonderful day with some lovely stampers at our team day in Peterborough, we laughed, chatted, shared stories and of course stamped!

One of the projects I designed for the day was this wonderful Lighthouse Box Frame.  I love Lighthouses and could not wait to make something for my home with it - so shared with everyone how to make this frame and the wonderful nighttime sky - see how adorable those peek through stars are!

I am pleased to say everyone had a lot of fun making it and there was a lot of chatter about where people were going to display them.  Mine is on my desk.
