Scrapbook Saturday - Drinking Mocktails!

As we approach the end of the year lots of people start looking back and writing their Christmas Letters recounting the highlights of the year.  As I look back at the year one of my highlights has to have been my trip to Utah last summer.  The people I met were wonderful, the scenery breathtaking and the laughter plentiful.  Today I am going to share a page with just one memory of that wonderful fortnight - sipping midday mocktails in Park City.

The page is on a Crumb Cake Base and features the lovely Afternoon Picnic Papers, some Chevron Ribbon and stamps from the lovely Happy Hour Stamp Set.  I love how these papers coordinated with our outfits and before you ask (as members of the Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club did when I shared this page with them) no, I did not tell Katy that she was only to pack clothes that coordinated with Stampin' Up! colours ... she is such a good friend that she did that of her own accord!!!  Got to love friends who Scrapbook.

So as you look back over the year what have been your highlights?  Have you Scrapped them yet? If not why not take a few moments just to capture what they were and a few details about them so when you have a moment to scrap you can dive straight in and tell those stories.

Scrapbook Saturday - Sunflowers

As the weather has turned colder I have found myself remembering sunnier days and my summer visit to Utah - it was not just the weather that was warm the welcome was too  On our final evening we visited a ranch where the tables were beautifully decorated with sunflowers -they looked stunning and for this week's Scrapbook Saturday I am going to share a page featuring two of my favourite photos of them.

I love how scrapbooking helps me remember the details of events and how looking at my pages can take me right back to a time and place.  Where would you like your scrapbooks to take you today?  If a page about it does not already exist then I challenge you to make one!

Scrapbook Saturday -

For this week's Scrapbook Saturday I am going to show you a page featuring some of the wonderful artwork that lines the walkways of Park City Utah.  This collection of fish is entitled Chakra Sea and was made by Scotty Soltronic from recycled materials.  

The page features papers from the delightful Afternoon Picnic Collection.  The photo corners were made using the Elegant Butterfly Punch - if you would like to know how they are done check out yesterday's post.

Scrapbook Saturday - Afternoon Picnic Papers and an Evening Stroll

For this week's Scrapbook Saturday I am going to share a page featuring a photo I took on a recent evening stroll around the village - I love being able to just wander out of my house and be in the countryside!

More Birthday Cards made from Scraps of Patterned Papers

Yesterday I showed you some cards made using scraps of Patterned Papers, which formed part of a gift set of birthday cards I was recently asked to make for a friend.  Today I am going to show you the rest of the collection.

The cards follow the same basic design as yesterday's, and again use scraps from the Delicious Afternoon Picnic Papers.  You really won't want to throw any scraps of this collection away!

The cards I am showing you today are more feminine than yesterdays, with the addition of the butterfly.

My friend was delighted with these cards and I hope the person she was gifting them to was as well.  Handmade cards ready to send out make a lovely gift - who would you like to give a collection of cards ready to send to?

Birthday Cards Made with Scraps of Patterned Paper

Even when the lovely Designer Series Patterned Papers are on Special Offer as they are now (check this link) I don't like to waste any of it. Sometimes I make up embellishments ready to go on a project (I have a whole tub of butterflies for example) but if the left over piece of paper is big enough I like to make them into cards.

Today I am going to show you the cards I made from a strip of paper that was left over from the pages I made for the latest Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club. The papers are from the delightful Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Papers and the greeting is from the Express Yourself Stamp Set.

I had been asked by a friend for a box of easy to post birthday cards for them to give as a gift and these cards are some of the ones I have included in that collection. Tomorrow I will show you some more of them.

Happy Day Hello There Cards from Scraps

I have to admit that I am on a mission - a mission to use all my scraps of Designer Series Paper as I go, rather than to hoard them!  After I had made the inspiration pages for this month's Scrapbook Club I found I had some strips of the lovely Afternoon Picnic Papers sitting there asking to be used!

This is what I came up with first.  The stamps are from the delicious Happy Day Stamp Set.

Then wondered what would happen when I changed up the colous and I love how different the card looks when all I have changed is the colours

Scrapbook Saturday - Utah Welcome Dinner
