Scrapbook Saturday - So American

All the snow we have had over the last day or so has reminded me about my trip to Charlottesville and the wonderful Foxfield Inn a few years ago.  If ever you find yourself in that part of the world I can highly recommend this fantastic B&B - luxurious and comfortable rooms and Kathryn makes Breakfasts to die for! 

One of the things we did when I stayed there was visit a local supermarket and in the car park we saw two iconic American vehicles - a Pink Cadillac and an American School Bus.  The bus driver thought it was very odd that someone wanted to take a picture of his bus, even after my friend called over that I was English!

Scrapbook Saturday - Boats on the Water

Last winter I spent a lovely few days on Malta, and one of my favourite things was watching the boats.  This Scrapbook Page will tell the story of how much I enjoyed just sitting and watching, how I love the pretty colours on the boats and how calm and tranquil they made me feel - it is all ready for me to add the journaling and then it can sit in my album with the rest of the pages about that holiday!

The page was made using the Kit from last month's Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club and features the wonderful International Bizarre Papers.  

Each month the Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club Kit contains everything you need to make a minimum of three Scrapbook Pages and I am often about to get five or even six, depending on how I use the supplies.  There will always be a combination of card stock, patterned papers and embellishments.  

Additionally club members will get access to a private web site where they can see all the pages I have made with the kit.  You can join the club and take part in the comfort of your own home at the time that suits you best, or you can join us for one of our club meetings.  There are three opportunities to join us in person each month.  On the last Thursday of each month you can come during the day or during the evening and from February, on the second Saturday of each month in the afternoon.

Scrapbook Saturday - These boots

Today I am going to share another Scrapbook Page featuring the wonderful International Bizarre Designer Series Papers. 

The photo on this page was taken when I first went for a walk in my new walking boots - it was taken just as I left the house.  It was to be a short(ish) walk to the post office and back - so a total of about 2 and a half or 3 miles.  These boots, as well as being a cute colour, were really comfortable when I tried them on in the shop and I was looking forward to wearing them.  By the time I got to the post office I had changed my mind.  I could hardly walk, they were so uncomfortable I seriously considered walking back in just my socks!  The blisters took weeks to totally heal.  These boots and I have still, well over a year later, not made our peace.

Scrapbook Saturday - The White House

As we all get ready for Christmas I thought I would share a scrapbook page featuring a lot of snow for this week'e Scrapbook Saturday.

When I visited The White House a few years ago it had a whole extra layer of white - a very deep dusting of snow.  

The papers I have used to make this page are from the International Bizarre Designer Series Papers, which is a fun and vibrant collection suitable for any occasion.
