Special Birthday's require a special card and today I am going to share a card that was made for a young man's special birthday - I think you will be able to work out how old he was!

The card features the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and the Star Framelits.  The numbers were cut with the Perfect Print Numbers Die from Silver Glimmer Paper.  The patterned paper is from the All is Calm Specialty Paper Pack.

The colour combination of Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzaz works well on this male card - what are your favourite colours to use on cards for men?

Pictogram Punches Christmas Card

I love how versatile the Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets are and today I am going to show you a Christmas Card made with the same stamp set as the floral card I showed you yesterday, the lovely Pictogram Punches. 

The card base is Pool Party and the Smoky Slate layer has been embossed using the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.  The greeting is from the Good Greetings Stamp Set (check yesterday's post to find out how you can get this stamp set for FREE this month). The stars were all cut from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the Star Framelits and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Scrapbook Saturday - Making A Christmas Scrapbook Page with Non Christmas Supplies

This week I am going to share the scrapbook page I designed for our quarterly team training in Peterborough last weekend.  We have so much fun when we get together and also spend some time getting ready for the upcoming months, hence the Christmas themed Scrapbook Page!  

I thought it would be fun to show how versatile the Stampin' Up! Supplies are so thought not only would I sit in the sun thinking about Christmas but I would also use non Christmas Supplies and this is what I came up with.

The papers I used are from the All Abloom Paper Stack and I have used the Work of Art and Pictogram Punches Stamp Sets.  I also used the new Star Framelits (which I am totally in love with!) and the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder.

I particularly enjoyed playing with the masks - if you have not checked them out yet you can find them here and here.  They are a fantstic way to add some visual interest to the background and were very quick and easy to use.

And did you spot those beautiful green sparkly stars?  I used my Mellow Moss Marker to colour some of the new Dazling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and punched them with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  You can also see the Glimmer Paper uncoloured on the baubles.
