Summer Silhouette Celebration Card

Did you enjoy yesterday's National Stationery Week Special?(#NatStatWeek) If you have not had a chance to check it out then please do.  Since today is May Day I thought we would have a celebration card today!

Today I have a card featuring products that are only going to be available for a little while longer - so if you like anything on today's card please pop over to the shop sooner rather than later.

I had so much fun getting inky for this one!  The butterflies were made by stamping one of the flower heads twice side by side and then punching them out.

Hello Sweet Friend Card

My team and I have been participating in a challenge to show some inky love to stamp sets that we have been neglecting for too long, so today I thought I would share one of the cards I have made for that challenge.

Spring colours and happy flowers to say hello.

And of course there had to be a butterfly!

The Summer Silhouettes is a beautiful stamp set and once I had it out I could not stop at one card!  I showed you a second card I made with this set last Sunday - you can see it here.

Watercoloured Flowers Card for Any Occasion

What feels like a life time ago now I was given a pretty painting of some flowers, and I loved how the watercolouring on petals ran into the areas around the flowers giving them a soft glow.  I decided to see if I could recreate that using my stamps and inks.

This is what I came up with.  

I stamped the flower stems in an archival ink so they would not run and then saturated my watercolour paper before adding some colour.

When it was totally dry I stamped over the top to add some definition.

I hope you like it as much as I did that lovely painting.
