Vintage Vogue - Thank You

On Monday I started showing you some cards made with the lovely Vintage Vogue Stamp Set which had been a bit neglected until this last weekend. I find it is the kind of stamp set that once I have it out I just want to keep stamping with so the answer to the question from Tuesday is no – I did not stop at just two cards - there were more!

Lots more and today I am going to share a card I made lots of! It also features one of my new favourite colour combinations – River Rock, Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzleberry.

Most of the stamps are from the Vinatge Vogue Stamp Set and here I have teamed it with one of the sentiments from Wedding Sweet Stamp Set.  I love how the two different stamp sets work together!

Vintage Vogue Birthday Card

As I mentioned yesterday I seem to have neglected the wonderful Vintage Vogue Stamp Set recently. Now once the stamp set was out I found once card using it was just not enough! Today I am going to share a birthday card featuring both the Vintage Vogue and Wedding Sweet Stamp Sets.

For this card the wonderful large swirl in Wedding Sweet was stamped in Pear Pizzaz and decorated with flowers from the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set.

The flowers have been stamped in Melon Mambo and Concord Crush. If you would like to learn how to achieve this look why not book a Stampin’ Up! Neglected Stamps - Vintage Vogue

Do you sometimes find that you have neglected one of your favourite stamp sets for a while? A little while ago one of my lovely customers (Hello Ellie!) happened to mention that she had noticed that I had not used the wonderful Vintage Vogue Stamp Set for a while. I thought that seemed odd but when I thought about it I realised she was right and it was time I did something about it!

So today I am going to share a card which teams the Vintage Vogue Stamps with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

The colours are Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso. The butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the the Beautiful Butterflies Die are cut from Very Vanilla card. The central butterfly is decorated with the delicious flower and leaf swirl from Vintage Vogue. The sentiment is from Wedding Sweet.

So I hope I am forgiven by you all and of course by the lovely Vintage Vogue Stamp Set – which will be inky again very soon!

Birthday Card with Free Razzleberry Wide Striped Ribbon

August is a month when lots of my friends celebrate their birthdays and what more excuse did I need than that to break into my lovely new roll of Rich Razzleberry Wide Striped Groassgrain that Stampin’ Up! so kindly gave to me! I got this scrummy ribbon along with a tub of assorted clips and a wonderful cosmetics bag (which actually holds way more make up that I have, so is currently doing duty as a personal craft tool tote!) as part of this promotion. As well as the scrummy ribbon this River Rock Card features stamps from the Curly Cute and Wedding Sweet Stamp Sets. The Butterflies are from the gorgeous Beautiful Wings Embosslit, and have been inked in Rich Razzleberry. Lots of sparkly Rhinestones finish the card off.

I could not resist a close up of the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon.  I know you are going to be seeing a lot of it here - soooooooo lush!

Wedding Sweet Anniversary Card

A little while ago I was asked to make a wedding anniversary card for a friend. I remembered her showing us the photos of the wedding and thinking how similar the colour of the bridesmaid’s dresses was to Concord Crush and how pretty the butterflies were in the bridal bouquet. So there was only one thing for it …

The large image from the Wedding Sweet Stamp Set was stamped onto Shimmer White Card Stock using Marina Mist ink. The Concord Crush butterflies were cut using the wonderful Beautiful Wings Embosslit. Some Designer Series Paper, Lots of Pearls and a little bit of coordinating ribbon and everything was done!

Sunday's Card to Swap

Do you remember on Sunday I showed you glimpse inside my car before I unpacked it for our team day? Well those of you who looked closely will have noticed you can see two projects and I am going to share one of them with you today and later this week.

This is the card you could just see at the front of the picture.

One of the things we do when we get together is make cards to swap with each other – these swaps are a constant source of inspiration to me and I love seeing what everyone has come up with. Back to Sea

Are you ready for another card made using Beware Pirates? I hope so as this one is about to sail into view! Sorry, I should probably apologise for the bad puns you keep finding around here. I am back rehearsing this year’s village pantomime again. Oh yes I am! This year the show we have written features Santa and Superhero’s and bad jokes naturally abound and seem to be creeping into other areas of my life!

So to the card ...

I coloured the large boat image the same way as I did on this card, but this time stamped it onto Crumb Cake for a much softer look. On this card I have again used Tempting Turquoise for the layer and this time punched with the new Scallop Border Punch and topped it with an Old Olive Bow. Only one little clue on this card that there is anything to do with pirates involved!

The background is stamped in Old Olive and is another new stamp – this one is from the wonderful Wedding Sweet Set. I am sure you will be seeing more of that around here before too long!
