Scrapbook Saturday - These Shoes

I have a real weak spot for beautiful shoes.  There I have said it out loud!  I mostly wear flat and low heel shoes so most of my collection fall into that category.  I had no desire to wear high heels, and being tall had never really learned to walk in them either.  That is until I saw these shoes.  It was love at first sight, and learning to walk in them became a priority!  I must have looked pretty silly standing doing the ironing in them as got more used to them.

This was one of the sample pages I made for this month's Feeling Crafty Scrapbook Club, it features the wonderful Sweet Shop Papers which I think complement the love and exuberance of these shoes!

Bright Blossoms - Card for a Man

At this month's Card Making Class we featured the lovely Bright Blossoms Stamp Set.  At each Card Making Class we have a lot of fun exploring the versatility of our featured stamp set.  This modern and funky floral stamp set may not immediately suggest it is good for making cards for men but as you can see from this example, Bright Blossoms is great for men's cards

Pedal Presents Congratulations on Joining Stampin' Up! Cards

I love being a Stampin' Up! So I was excited to welcome some new faces to our Stampin' Superstars Team recently.  This is the card I sent to four of them.

Welcome Home

For us the excitement did not end when we came home from Vienna.  That evening Joe became a Granddad again and we welcomed this little chap
Vienna Baby

I want them to call him Midge - as in Midge Ure from Ultravox who sung the song Vienna, and he is very little - his parents however have different ideas.

Here is the card I made for him
Baby Prints Boy Card by Bekka - www.feeling-crafty.co.uk

I have used the lovely Baby Prints Stamp Set for this card and I already plan to use it to scrap his baby photos!

Incentive Trip - Day 4 & 5, Warm Sunshine and Wonderful Memories

Saturday was our final day in Vienna and we decided to take advantage of the wonderful sunshine and visit the local park.  We arrived to find the park full of fun activities to celebrate its 150th birthday.
Vienna Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip

We spent a lovely time exploring,

listening to bands and being warmed by the glorious sunshine.

Some of the sights we saw were more unusual than others!
Vienna Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip

When we got back to the hotel we were treated to some even more unusual sights as we watched from our balcony as a procession go past

Joe and I had supper together in the hotel and tried their renowned sushi restaurant, not something we have ever done before
Vienna Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip

Then there was time for one last visit with everyone as we met for goodies and goodbyes.  There was a huge array of beautiful little puddings for us and I was soon too busy chatting to remember to take any photos!
Vienna Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip

Before we left on Sunday we did have time for a quick walk in the lovely sunshine before returning to a rather overcast UK.

This has been an incredible trip - I have hundreds of photos still to edit and many many more good memories that I will cherish.

I loved spending time with such a wonderful and inspiring group of people and would like to thank every single one of them for making the experience so magical.  Special thanks have to go to the wonderful KelleeSue and Kelly who make the magic happen and to Shelli, Sterling and the rest of the Stampin' Up! staff for being such wonderful hosts.  At the risk of this becoming an Oscars style speech, I also want to thank each and every one of my wonderful team of Stampin' Superstars for being such an inspiration and for all their hard work.  Last but by no means least I also want to thank all of you, my customers, friends and readers for your support and encouragement.

Thank you and Happy Stampin'

Find Out About Friday - How to Make A Diamond Gate Fold Card (my Vienna Swaps)

For this week's Find Out About Friday I am going to share with you how I made the Diamond Gate Fold Card that  I made for my Vienna Swaps.
How to make a Diamond Gate Fold Card www.feeling-crafty.co.uk

That base of the card is a piece of Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper cut to 6x12 inches.  This has been scored at 2, 4, 8 and 10 inches.

Mark the base 4 inches from the top on either side.  Cut the base as shown by the red lines on this diagram.  The blue lines show the score lines.
How to make a Diamond Gate Fold Card www.feeling-crafty.co.uk
Then all you have to do is fold the base and decorate.  You can keep this as a gate fold card or seal it and make a pocket card.

Incentive Trip - Day 3, Art, Architecture and Acoustic Treats

We were treated to another wonderful hot and sunny day in Vienna, and were free to spend it as we wished.  We choose to wander and explore this magnificent city.  I love taking my camera for a walk and everywhere we looked there were wonderful sights and different styles.
Stampin' Up! Vienna Incentive Trip

We visited beautiful domes St Charles'e Church and I fell in love with all the decorations and details as oval openings took your eyes up to the incredible high alter and the amazing frescoes on the ceiling.  Since they are currently being renovated we took the glass elevator and were able to view them from close up.  I loved how the individual tableau's were woven together by the clouds.  You could even see the brush strokes.  Breathtaking.

We wandered on through the city to the Hofburg Palace with its imperial grandure

Eventually we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for the evening's Gala Dinner.  All dressed up in our finery, horse drawn carriages took us to the Museum of Fine Art where we were met by liveried footmen. The building is incredible in its own right, with something beautiful everywhere you looked.  We had cocktails in the lobby and made sure we took some fun photos before the Master of Ceremonies invited us up to dinner.

Look what was waiting for us.

The Master of Ceremonies then introduced us to some special guest who came to perform just for us - the Vienna Boys Choir.  They were beyond amazing, such beautiful voices, it still makes the hairs stand up on my arms just thinking about it.
Stampin' Up! Vienna Incentive Trip

Before we had our deserts we were given another very special treat - a private tour of the galleries - where we were able to get up close to some incredible paintings by artists such as Rubens, Rembrandt and Caravaggio to name just three!
Stampin' Up! Vienna Incentive Trip

We were also given a sneak peak of an upcoming Klimt exhibition.

The whole evening was magical and I did not want it to end, but when it did there was a wonderful pillow gift waiting for me!

I feel so lucky and privileged  - the idea that by sharing my love of crafting with you I get to experience incredible things like this blows my mind.  Thank you for making it possible

Incentive Trip - Day 2 Schonbrunn and Strudel

We woke to beautiful sunshine, and following a wonderful breakfast we were taken to the incredible Schonbrunn Palace.  It is the most beautiful of places and I could quite happily have spent days exploring.
Stampin' Up! Vienna Incentive Trip. www.feeling-crafty.co.uk
We took the Imperial Tour and got a glimpse of imperial life as we viewed the state rooms of Franz Joseph and Sissi.  I would love to share some of the things we saw with you but we were not allowed to take photos.  I felt so inspired by everything I saw I just hope I can remember it all.

After the tour we walked to one end of the grounds

The laughter started when we arrived and continued all through our Strudel making.

While our Strudels were baking we toured the Carriage Museum and got a little time in the beautiful gardens

with a chance to enjoy the sunshine.

I would love to tell you this is what my Strudel looked like

But since this what ours looked like I think I will stick with Stamping - the Strudel makers jobs are safe for now!

I think even Stampin' Up! over estimate my baking abilities as our pillow gift was a beautiful Oven Glove and Cloth from the delicious Twitterpated Fabrics.

That evening we went for a traditional dinner with many of the other UK Demonstators and their partners - we had a great time chatting - so much so I forgot to take any photos!

Check back tomorrow for the next installment of this exciting adventure
