I was so excited that finally the Incentive Trip to Vienna had finally arrived - I could not wait to see everyone, to discover Vienna and to enjoy a short holiday. I am not sure however that Joe felt the same!
I love to sit at an airport with a coffee and watch the world go by, for me it really signifies the start of a holiday.
We were met from the plane and even had our own porter to collect our bags from the carousel, which made me feel very special. On our short ride to the Grand Hotel we got our first glimpses of the wonderful architecture that is around every corner in this beautiful city.
Our room was an amazing vision in green, with a lovely balcony overlooking a tree lined avenue.
After we had unpacked we visited the hospitality suite, it was easy to find as you could just follow the sound of excited chatter. It was fantastic to meet up with everyone and to say hello, so we ended up staying there for quite some time. There were snacks and drinks and we each were given a box to fill with sweets, can you tell which are my favourites!
After a short rest we met up with everyone for the welcome dinner. We had canopies and a gorgeous strawberry cocktail on the roof terrace, before finding this gorgeous menu and welcome message on our tables.
Here is Shelli officially welcoming us and checking the details of a couple of things she had to tell us as she did so.
We shared a table with the lovely Julie and her husband Robin and all enjoyed a fantastic meal. Many of the dishes were decorated with flowers including my special pudding of just raspberries!
When we eventually went back to our rooms look what a gorgeous treat was waiting for us
It matches the purse our travel documents were sent in.
I went to bed already feeling very spoiled and thankful. I am so lucky to work with such a wonderful company and to be able to spend time with such inspiring people. What is even better is that anyone can do it (I am proof of that!)
I found it hard to sleep as I was so excited about the upcoming days - you will have to check back tomorrow for the next installment!
