Spirelli Card with Butterfly

Today I am going to show you something fun you can do with your Baker's Twine and a Scallop Circle Punch.  As a child I was fascinated by the pictures people could make by wrapping metallic threads around pins, and the combination of curves and straight lines still appeals to me. Spirelli is the art of wrapping thread around a series of points to make a geometric shape and the technique gives some fun possibilities for our cards and scrapbook pages.

This card features three Spirelli Frames created by wrapping some of the wonderful Stampin Up! Baker's Twine around the points of a Scallop Circle.  The card was stamped with the circular image from the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set before it was punched out with the Scallop Circle Punch.

I have also used my Simply Scored! to give texture to the Concord Crush Layer.  If you are interested in finding out more about what the Simply Scored! can do check out this link for details of the I Scored! Packages that I am offering and the introductory offers that are available this month.
