Have you ever wanted a stamp but have not been able to find the perfect image? Well with the introduction of Stampin' Up!'s new Undefined Stamp Carving Kit you can now have any image you want - you define it! It could be that special logo for a club you belong to, it could be something special for a wedding or a themed party, it could be something that is 'just perfect' for a certain friend - the only limit is your imagination.
Check out this video to see Undefined in action.
There are just 5 simple steps to creating your own stamp
- Sketch it - once you have decided what you want your stamp to be you need to sketch it out. Now don't worry if like me you can't draw - you can always find an image or a photo and trace it. I found that starting with a piece of paper the size of one of the wooden blocks helped me to get it the right size.
- Transfer the image - If you have used a pencil to sketch this is easy - just turn the paper over and rub the image onto the rubber.
- Carve it - there are two carving tools in the kit - one for big areas of rubber and one for the finer details. My top tip here would be to carve away from your hands (don't ask how I know this one!) and to turn the rubber into the tool much as you would turn paper into the scissors.
- Mount it - the kit comes with foam to mount your new stamp onto a wooden block but you can always substitute the foam for clear mount foam if you would prefer.
- Stamp it! I loved the feeling of seeing what I had carved appear on the paper when I stamped! It felt just like stamping for the first time ever. I know you are going to want to repeat step 5 with your new custom stamp as often as you can!
I know you are going to love this new and fun way to get the images you want - you can check out the full Undefined Kit here. You can get refills too.
