Today I am going to show you a card inspired by the lovely Carol – she is one talented lady and I love to see how cleverly she puts together a card.
For this card I have used an Old Olive base. Have you noticed how addicted to Old Olive I have become? And to think I used to not like green! I now even own a jacket in this colour ... I digress! I stamped the large flower from the new Petal Pizzazz Stamp set in Almost Amethyst and a slightly smaller one from Pretty in Pink. The leaves and centre flower are of course Old Olive. A couple of brads, some of the delish striped grosgrain ribbon and some coordinating card stock later and the card was done.
I love how zingy the colours are together. I don’t know about you but I do what I call the window sill test with my cards – I put them on the window sill to see how they look from a distance – you don’t get to see the ones that fail but this one passed with absolute flying colours – it seemed to almost come to life in the sunlight.
I loved using this set and think it will be really versatile, the bold flowers will look great on both cards and scrap book pages.
Thanks for looking
Happy Cradting
