Sale-A-Bration Christmas Gifts!

This year’s Sale-a-Bration sets are so lovely it was hard to decide which to use first! Today I am going to share some Christmas Presents I made using the wonderful Bliss set.

These coasters were a lot of fun to make. The design is the same for each set but I varied the colours to suit people’s homes. My family loved them.

In fact even my partner liked them – so much so he asked me to make some for us!

To make these coasters I started by stamping the swirl all over the base, carefully inking it unevenly. Next I stamped on the flowers, mostly having stamped off some of the ink before stamping on my project. The beautiful butterfly was added using a contrast colour and some shimmer paint, then this colour was used with the spritzing tool to create a splatter effect on the background. I then inked the edges of the card using a dauber. This finished pieces were then put into a coaster which was sold to make photo coasters.

This technique of layering your stamping is ideal for cards as well since your finished project looks very dimensional, but is very flat to post.

If you were to purchase the card, inks, shimmer paints, spritzing tool, Stampin’ Write Marker and the daubers you would get the stamp set for free! How brilliant is Sale-A-Bration! To place your order email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Sale-A-Bration 2011

Welcome Back!  I am so excited about this year’s Sale-A-Bration! It is such a generous promotion and the stamp sets you can earn for free are just amazing and I know you will love them too.

Want to see?

Well there are four sets that you can earn for free

The first is Bliss – what a suitably well named set! I love the butterfly and the amazing swirly flourish, the other stamps are beautiful too and I know this set is going to become a firm favourite of mine.

Next we have the beautiful Sweet Summer – this huge collection of 9 scrummy floral stamps is so versatile and will allow you to make beautiful cards for all occasions.

Thirdly we have So Happy for You – a collection of 5 really useful phrases in a fun font and 5 fun images – this set is going to be such a great one to use and its sure to get inked up a lot!

And last but by no means least we have the gorgeous Punch Bunch. A set of 5 stamps all of which coordinate beautifully with our punches – and you all know how much I love my stamps that coordinate with my punches! And yes that is ‘the’ owl you see before you, and yes I can confirm we will be getting the Owl Punch in April! Once you are ready to look at the other four stamps you will see they are equally as wonderful.

So how can you get your hands on these free stamps? Well there are two ways.

Firstly you get to choose one for every £45 you spend between now and 28th February 2011. That means that if you spend £90 you can choose two sets etc. Email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk to place your order.

Secondly if you host a Stampin’ Up! Party between now and 28th February 2011 with product sales of at least £300 you will get a Sale-a-bration set in addition to the already generous hostess benefits. I do have availability to do parties during this time so contact me today to arrange your party.

I mentioned earlier that Sale-a-bration is a generous promotion ... there is more! Not only can you get free stamp sets when you spend £45 or when you host a party, you can also get two free stamp sets when you join Stampin’ Up! If you join Stampin’ Up! between now and 28th February Stampin’ Up! will give you one free stamp set of any value from the Idea Book and Catalogue. If you join my team, I will also do the same and you will get three additional gifts from me! This means you could get yourself goodies worth over £330 for just £119. Its the night before Christmas

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

We are well into the last moment preparations here now – Craft projects done, presents wrapped and I have even spent time in the kitchen! I won’t be giving anyone the planned macaroons, or winning any domestic goddess awards, but I am really pleased with how the festive pate is looking and tasting!

Whatever you are doing tomorrow have a fantastic time.

An Ornament Punch is not just for Christmas - Part 2

Are you ready for some more non Christmas cards made using the Stampin’ Up! Ornament Punch?

I hope so but if not please look away now!

Today’s cards have a flowery theme. Firstly I have used the Ornament Punch to create a vase for my flowers.

The vase has been made using the dotty stamp from Delightful Decorations and I used the rock and roll technique to get the two tone effect – its a wonderful technique and one I often teach at classes and parties. You can find out more about classes and parties here. The flowers are also from the Delightful Decorations stamp set – they have been punched out using the Boho Blossom Punch.

For this next card I have used punched out ornament shapes as petals for this flower. I punched the petals out from Naturals Ivory card stock and edged them with Soft Suede Ink, and then with Champaign Mist Shimmer Paint. I think the finished flower is a bit like a water Lilly, what do you think?

It will be back to Christmas Projects for my next project – I have an idea that if it works I am sure you will love and if it does not you will never know about!!!!

An Ornament Punch is not just for Christmas!

Well we have snow again so I am getting some bonus time with my stamps! Just as well really as I have lots of cards I want to make!

Over the next couple of posts I am going to show you some non Christmas projects you can make using your Ornament Punch from Stampin’ Up! I love the shape of this punch and I love that there are stamp specially designed to go with it, they make putting ideas together so fun.

Now today would really not be the weather for it, but sometimes I dream of floating around in a hot air balloon, beautiful blue skies ... and how fun would it be in a balloon that was this pretty?

The balloon was stamped from Delightful Decorations and the lines to the basket are drawn with a Stampin’ Write Marker. The background clouds were made by swirling ink on a dauber around the edges of a punched out scallop oval.

Next I am going to share a card inspired by one my wonderful friend Jules showed at Convention – the kissing fishes! How adorable are these two!

I have also used a punched out small heart for their lips, small circles and a five petal flower for their fins and tails.

I will be back with more ideas to show you that your ornament punch is not just for Christmas soon. In the mean time keep warm and happy stampin’

Today it is time for me to share the last gift idea in this series of Christmas Gift Ideas. And today’s idea is all about time.

This clock has been made using a the mechanism from an clock from the local pound shop and papers from the scrummy Nursery Suite Speciality Pack.

Butterflies with a suitable amount of bling mark the hour points. The hardest part of making this project was actually popping out all the bits from the pretty die cut edges!

I hope this series has helped you get ready for Christmas and has inspired you to get crafting for Christmas. If you need any supplies to help you please just get in touch.

I do have some more Christmas Projects to share with you and will be back in a couple of days with the first of them.

12 Gifts for Christmas - Gift 11

Can you believe we are on our penultimate gift for Christmas already? How are your preparations going? I still have loads and loads to do and hope to finish making my Christmas Cards this afternoon!

So to today’s gift ideas ... Calendars, always popular to give and always useful to receive. I have two ideas to share with you.

First there is this wall hanging version.

As you can see I have used a stamped image for mine but you could easily swap this for a photo.

The second version is a pocket version, designed to be carried around or kept on your desk.

Quick and fun to make these calendars would give the recipient a whole year’s worth of pleasure.

Don’t forget to check back for the last gift idea tomorrow.

12 Gifts for Christmas - Gift 10

When I was growing up one of the things my grandparents always wanted for Christmas was photos of us. Now when you are a teenager this is really really embarrassing but every year we were made to have our photo taken so we could send them to our Grandparents.

Maybe it’s the same in your family and there are people who you either want or need to send photo’s to. Why not send them in a beautiful mini album or brag book so the recipient can carry them around and show them off.

These mini albums were made the same way as the Christmas Organisers here, but this time using the beautiful Lap of Luxuary Papers and the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set.

If you would like the instructions for this project please email me, bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Have fun making this pretty way to give photos!

12 Gifts for Christmas - Gift 9

Can you believe that its day 9 of this series already – Christmas is getting close really quickly!

Today I am going to share another gift of some cards. This is a project that the ladies all made at last month’s card class. If you would like to join them details of my upcoming classes can be found here, we all love welcoming new faces to the group.

This box of notelets features the gorgeous Growing Green Stamp Set and the coordinating Woodland Walk papers.

Presenting cards in a decorated clear box makes them look very professional.

So here are the cards, lots of pictures so not many words!

Who on your present list would like to receive a box of cards?

12 Gifts for Christmas - Gift 8

How do you stay organised? I find it a continual battle and I would be totally lost without my lists! Everything has a list, lists of cards to make, lists of things to do and even a list of projects to show you here.

Today’s gift idea is aimed at people who love lists. Designed to sit on a desk or hang on the wall this little gift will help keep your list where you can easily see it. What is even better is that you can always keep it up to date – it wipes clean!

It is constructed from a frame I got at my local discount store and I have used the same Elegant Soiree Papers as I used for yesterday’s Memo Board.

I hope you like today’s gift idea and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow when I will share another with you.

12 Gifts for Christmas - Gift 7

Today I have another gift idea for those who love to be organised, or who would like to be!

I often find I have lots of bits of paper that I want to keep to hand, but which don’t really have a home – those notes & letters, numbers for people I want to call – you know the kind of thing. A memo board like this is ideal for keeping them all to hand and having something pretty in the room as well!

It was made using papers from the Elegant Soiree papers, ribbons and flower brads, backed onto the card that comes into the back of a pack of Designer Series Papers! It feels good to find a use for what otherwise would be waste card.

I will be back tomorrow with another gift that would look lovely next to this!

12 Gifts for Christmas - Gift 5

I hope you are having as much fun reading about these gift ideas for Christmas as I have had making them!

Today I went back to something I really enjoy as the basis of a gift – making cards! Most people I know send cards during the year and love to have something special to send out, so love to receive hand made cards.

So how about these little wallets are full of cards.

The wallet is made from a cut down 6x6 inch page protector and a piece of Designer Series Paper. The stamp set is Funky Four.

I had such fun making the first one that I had to make another one with my Growing Green Stamps!

And finally got my team to make them at our recent team training and fill them with gift tags! I love sharing projects with my team – if you want to find out more about being in my team let me know (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) and lets arrange a time to talk.

Back tomorrow with another gift idea
