Find Out About Friday - Home Made Christmas Cards for Non Card Makers to Make

Have you always wanted to make your own Christmas Cards but not known where to start?  For this week's Find Out About Friday I am going to share two ways that those of you who maybe have never made a card before or who are really pushed for time can make and send Christmas Cards that you have made this year.  Nothing is nicer than receiving a card that you know someone has taken the time to make themselves and what better time than Christmas to show people you care.

With that in mind I am excited to be introducing a new set of classes and kits.  They have been put together especially to make your Christmas Crafting experience fast, fun and cost effective.

Christmas Cards for Non Card Makers Classes
This class will be taught in small groups of no more than 6 to ensure you get the personal tuition you need.  By the end of the class you will have made 20 beautiful hand made cards, complete with envelopes, have had an introduction to card making and rubber stamping and have some left over supplies to take home with you.  This class will cost £20 and last approximately 2 hours.  You can see a list of the current dates and times for this class here but additional sessions can be arranged if required.

These are the cards you will be making

Christmas Cards for Non Card Makers Kits
I know not everyone can attend one of these classes in person so I have put together a kit complete with full photo tutorial which you can make up in the comfort of your own home.  Each Kit contains the following

  • 20 Card Bases
  • 20 Envelopes
  • 12 Pieces of Double Sided Patterned Papers cut to size in each of four designs making a total of 48 pieces of Patterned Paper.  You will use 2 per card so this gives you lots of design options
  • 25 Pre Printed Double Sided Gift Tags
  • 1 Sheet of Stampin' Up! Dimensionals (Foam Pads)
The kit costs £15 collected from me or can be posted to the UK mainland for £18.00  If you live elsewhere and would like a kit please let me know and I will work out the postage charge for you.

Here are the four cards I made in detail - you can of course swap or turn over the papers to make them all different!

Please Note:
  • To make up the cards you will need to add Glue to your kit.  This can be provided for an additional £3.25
  • You will also need a sentiment stamp and an ink pad.  I have used the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set which costs £13.95 in Wood Mount or £10.95 in Clear Mount.  The Ink Pad I have used is Cherry Cobbler and costs £4.95  These can be added to your order if required.
  • Kits will be made to order and may take approximately 1 week to dispatch.
This is what I added to my kit

Other things you may want to consider adding to your kit to step the cards up to the next level include:

Dazzling Details in either Cherry Cobbler or Dazzling - this glitter adhesive costs just £2.25 and would add a real sparkle to the cards.  This can be seen on page 158 of the Annual Catalogue.

Smooch Spritz chose any of the three colours for a splatter of sparkle across your cards.  These can also be seen on page 158 of the Annual Catalogue and cost £4.50 each.

Rhinestones adding some of these self adhesive jems will add a dazzling accent and real look of luxuary to your cards.  These cost £4.50 per pack and can be seen on page 175 of the Annual Catalogue.

To book your place on one of these classes or to order your kit please email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk and together lets make this a home made Christmas

Happy Stampin'
