For this week's Find Out About Friday I am going to answer a question I have been asked a lot recently - When do I need to use the Big Shot Extended Cutting Pads?
Here is my simple guide to choosing which cutting pads to use in your Big Shot
- The Die I want to use is a Bigz Die - Use the Standard Cutting Pads
- The Die I want to use is a Bigz Die which cuts and creases - Use one Standard Cutting Pad and the Standard Premium Crease Pad for best results
- The Die I want to use is a Bigz L Die - Use the Standard Cutting Pads
- The Die I want to use is a Bigz L Die which cuts and creases - Use one Standard Cutting Pad and the Standard Premium Crease Pad for best results
- The Die I want to use is a Framelit or Edgelit - Use the Standard Cutting Pads
- The Die I want to use is a Bigz XL Die- Use the Extended Cutting Pads
- The Die I want to use is a Bigz XL Die which cuts and creases - Use one Extended Cutting Pad and the Extended Premium Crease Pad for best results
Your Big Shot is supplied with Standard Cutting Pads, so you will only need to buy the Extended Cutting Pads if you plan on using and Bigz XL Dies. If those Dies cut as well as crease you will also want to invest in an Extended Crease Pad for the best results. Please note that the Stampin' Up! Catalogue suggests using the Extended Plates and Crease Pad for some of the Bigz L Dies - doing so will give you extra room on your plates and make them a little easier to use but the extended plates are not essential for these dies, so I would suggest using them if you have them but you will be able to use these dies without them.
You can see the complete range of Big Shot Dies and Embossing Folders and accessories on pages 186 - 195 of the Annual Catalogue.
If you have any questions about using your Big Shot or any questions you would like to see answered as part of the Find Out About Friday series please email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk
